Using Toyota Motor Oil (10w30) in Swift

which car you have? And did you buy the new one in 2010 or used? Covered mileage?
Actually these things are manadatory to know before the suggestion is put forward.

A friend of mine bought GLI 2013 model and Toyota's mechanic pour Petron 20/50 in the car and also he bought Guard filters (oil & air). His job is to drive car 5 times from Lahore to Islamabad in a week. And his car was giving average 12.3 on motor way.
He drove 15K in less than 3 months and I told him that toyota's mechanic has given him the worst ever suggestion about the oil.

On my suggestion, he changed to PTT Performa 0/40 and also tried ZIC XQ. Both with Leepon's filters.
Guess what? His car is now doing 15.5 on motorway with A/C. And I can feel his happiness in discussion whenever I spoke to him in this regard. He seem more then happy.

Well i have always used toyota air n oil filters coupled with petron n my car is doing 15 to 16 kpl on long route with 100 % ac. I m happy with the mileage it is returning. Let me know ur expert opinion regarding the said oil not based on kpl.

you said original air filter get clogged after 10k. Wow. In Pak. its common to change the air n oil filter after 4 or max. 5K though its genuine/original. Never go upto 10 or even 8k with same filters. Better to have them change after 4k and i usually do the same. And also blow the air filter with air after every 1k. Its necessary as well.

XQ is nice and perhaps most superior oil from zic and can last 8k in pak easily. But conditionally both filters has to change twice.

soon am gonna have my next change and this time am gonna try ptt performa 0/40 super synthetic. I will drive it upto 8k and will change both filters after 4k for sure.

at 5k km tht too early....in US they change after 10-15k miles but for here i think 10k km is enough.......everytime my cars goes for re-fuel my drivers blow air compressor on air filter, if its getting too dirty or clogged then i changed it....i ll show u the pic of 10k km filter even tht can work another 1-2k km but i dont take risk
Zic XQ is really nice but the availibility of original packing is hard nowadays, its better than shell ultra fully synthetic but again not better than Liqui Moly german made
i always check oil viscosity/stickiness thru oil dipstick after 5k km to ensure the oil can work upto 7-8k km

my younger bro altis 2012 was on this same oil petron 20w50...its quite thick oil for new engine n especially for brand new car....i changed it to 5w40 fully synthetic, now his altis accelerate faster n smoothly...fuel consumption improved too

Brother,
next time give a try to Volvoline's 5/40 or Redline's 5/40. Its available in market. And hope you will find them slightly better than even liqui moly's synthenol 5/40.
But oil has to be original.
