whats the point of this discussion, just merely listing engine types that can easily be found elsewhere or actual discussion about architecture of these v6/v8 engines
and anyway all of the above are pretty dismal by modern standards, future is already here which is direct fuel injection and efficient twin scroll turbos for petrol ones. similarly the above diesel v6/v8 lag in power output compared to their european diesel counterparts and then compounded by the fact that people get heart attacks in pakistan when they see prices for brand new injectors of common rail diesels or miserably fail when comes to calibrating diesel injection pumps.
any modern turbocharged direct injected 4 cylinder can embarass the v sixes and similarly, direct injected bi turbo or twin scroll turbo v6 embarass v8s while getting better fuel eco and better responsiveness at same time.
however these underwhelming dinosaurs will remain here as people dont want more heart attacks when it comes to bills for brand new parts of direct injection units etc if they ever go wrong.
for example toyota tundra 5.7 v8 seemingly a huge beast in pakistan(know as a avg family pickup elsewhere in the world) only has 381 hp from 5.7 and though it has better torque ratio a ford eco boost v6 has bigger towing capacity than the tundra.
