seems there was no rain since i asked for pictures or you've been too lazy to grab camera after fresh rain :D
It rained here this morning. I am heading out for offroading in the forests of Pennsylvania later, so I am hoping for no more rain, actually.
please take camera along and share when you are back home safely, ride & drive safe ! Bon Voyage

Off to a new adventure:
Only a few will understand the lure of the open road:
Stopping for a break:
Meeting up with other riders:
Road closed deep in the forest, what to do now?
It is tempting to move the barriers and carry on to see what is ahead, but we decided to find another way over the mountain:
A pair of KLRs, 1997 left and 2013 right:

Riding along on gravel roads in thick forests at high speeds is fun, but quite often tricky and sometimes dangerous with slippery areas and sudden drop offs and sharp curves:
And then the GPS and the maps gave up too and we had to find a way out. Needless to say, it was stressful, but in a fun kind of way:
After all that, train watching while enjoying a drink or two at a sidewalk cafe was restful:
And we rode ever deeper into thick forests, with stunning views never seen before, miles away from any other soul:
The KLR served well through all of that 500 mile trip, but it now clearly needs some cleaning and maintenance before it can make another trip:
The temptation to gun it as they show in the movies was strong, but I resisted:
