Mohtaram Axio Sahib MrAxio,
Remember, the case of Amnesty Scheme vehicles is under a stay order, i.e. at the level of High Court. For the other party the avenue of the Supreme Court is still open. This means that the case is still in limbo. Would you like to stay in limbo? Anyone who goes for such vehicles is taking risks. If anyone who wants to, (take the risk) then it is up to him. I would not.
Just to give you an example: A regular mint Toyota Camry goes for 3.5 million and I was taken aback when one guy in Islamabad was selling one for just 2.5 million. When I frowned at the low price, the dealer was very fast to notice that and clarified to me that it was an Amnesty car. I told one dealer about the incident and he told me that he won't go for the car for even as low as 1.5 million.
Going for such cars is fraught with the danger of playing with risks. Prudent people look at such cars with a disconcerted look.
Prices in Karachi may be going up but imagine if the case goes the other way in the Supreme Court and then where will the prices of such cars go, down the drain or through the roof? One doesn't have to make any guesses for the answer.
Regards.
