i am a huge Vespa Fan alth i never owned one... and i am plannig to get one. This is the one of the top classic bike and The MOST sold out bike in 70's and 80's our dad's grew up on Vespa.

any good vespa out there.... i am intrested in one with a round light rather than square.

ok guys so here we go to change the rear wheel oil seal on 1985 new bodyline

So this is the biggest and i beleive only symptom of oil seal failure

we have to remove the center axel nut to take down the wheel with durm still on, its a size 22 nut,

wheel drum off, you can see oil all over brake assembly, and inside brake drum too

old oil seal removed

cleaned everything including brake drum with petrol and then it starts looking like this

all needed is a new seal and seal adhesive tube

now put some adhesive on side of new seal and place it in seat of seal and press it down till its firmly seated, i use faulty seal to on top of new one before hitting it to be in place

place wheel back on

and to tighten things back you need to call in assistant, as i did, my 14 months old niece helped me out putting things back

and these are the signs of things well done.

i think ours is leaking too
and i want to ask there is petrol leakege but every thing is ok fuel tank and carburator is new still petrol leaks and now our vespa has anew problem i rode it after almost 6 months and now u need to keep the choak open other wise it won't go can u tell me what is ths drama
