Patel para has loads of rickshaw parts and repair shops. It's near lasbela. You can the tools easily there. Next xulfiqar mentioned mariot road is also a great main market for tools.

Good DIY, Keep it up, but you are going to get beaten up for sure by your MOM for messing up the floor use a plastic sheet or newspapers

Update 19-Feb-2015

Spent half a day looking for the flywheels puller and the clutch castle nut tool. Searched at patel para, vespa spare parts shop at radio pakistan, and boltan tools market. The search got more difficult given the fact that i did not have any reference object to show and shop people did not know of a vespa specific tool. Vespa parts shop people knew of it but said they used to have these tools many years ago.

After failing to find the items i bought the Honda CD70 magnet puller which looked like it would work.

The problem:
It did not work. It was just a wee bit larger in diameter.

The solution:
Took the puller to a lathe and got it tooled to Vespa size (had to take the engine along)

The result:
Worked like a charm and the flywheel slid right off! Can't wait to continue the work on the engine.

Update: 22-Feb-2015

Engine has been dismantled completely and all parts cleaned and catalogued. Found metal particles all over the engine caused by a disintegrating bearing. No visible damage on any other parts (subject to further inspection)

Agenda for this week: Make a list of all parts that are to be replaced (bearings, seals, gaskets, etc). Items will be purchased soon so that engine can be assembled next weekend.

Note that only minor work can be done during the week due to my job.

It reminds me of the old days. Some 18 years ago, my chacha owned a blue vespa. He had pretty much all the tools he needed and he would do all sort of work all by himself. I was a kid that time and i loved watching the work being done on it in our garage. The wiring picture that you posted here for reference, i remember my chacha made me write down the combinations on a paper lol and after reassembling, it worked like a charm

Flywheel removed using the puller.

Location of stator plate marked then removed.

As mentioned in the manual, stator placed inside flywheel to avoid demagnetizing.

According to my understanding, cylinder bore looked to be in good nick albeit very light scratch marks on one side. No lip created on TDC point as warned of in the manual. Will place piston ring inside to check end clearance.

I was expecting a castle nut and lock washer used to fasten the clutch but a regular nut was in place. Do I need to put in the proper castle nut or can I safely keep the current setup?
