Paint stage isn't any time soon so I haven't decided on a colour yet, but I'm leaning towards white. I'm open for suggestions.

First of all, apologies for the slow progress. I have been busy with work and my long neglected KE70.

Also, no progress was made because I required the axle bearing retaining nut shown below. After much searching at various vespa parts dealer found one. The only one he had. What I found was that vespa mechanics machine out the threads on the casing and use a circlip instead.

Now, I am in need for the proper tool for this castle nut. Found none at boltan market. Plan is to make it myself using a 1.5 inch pipe.

Found this dual tip muffler. Should look nice when painted shiny black and the tip rechromed.

@capsat , i love the one with the extended wheelbase. For now we'll be keeping everything stock. That's a feat in itself. Although the patina on it is very tempting.

White would look good with a slight pin stripe. If not Go for the original color. Else these two look good too

Not a fan of flat black. The bottle green definitely looks good.

New bearing, new seal, new retaining nut. Everything looking cosy. Hopefully no oil leaks from this side.

Update: 22-March-2015

Time to put both halves of the engine back together again. Turns out the gasket seal does not fit properly. I'm guessing its probably for a different model or maybe just badly made. Now we wait till Tuesday.

Please advise, to use shellac or not?
