I feel sorry for you guys! all these surfs and Vigo thailand ones are raped they have been driven over 150 thousand kms! you all would be kidding me! nothing beats a Vigo champ its a beautiful looking jeep and drives beautifully! it is awesome for our conditions specially the shitty roads we have in Karachi and Sindh! and yes for a city like Lahore and Islamabad it might be a downturn due to Lahore having expensive luxury Automobiles. Also the roads in Punjab are awesome compared to the crappy roads in Sindh so Vigo champ is definitely a great option for Karachi and Sindh. The Vigo champ opposing to the previous Thai model is a way better looking car. The previous Thai Vigo is dayem ugly and most maila wadera types drive them with guards and all used ones in the market smell of them. Indus has targeted the Vigo champ for families in their marketing campaign if you all have seen the TVC and the billboards. So if anybody on this forum compares the Indus Vigo champ with the thai Vigo Champ would be a nut. The Vigo champ is an elegant family jeep which is brand new and a gorgeous looking machine, whereass the Vigo Thai previous shape is ugly and most of the cars in the market are roughly used. I wouldnt even buy one of them for a 1 million. Vigo champ is the way too goo if you guys want value of money! Who cares for 500cc more which is ugly and been around! its like choosing an ugly 'fast' girl for marriage whose been around! over a fresh goodlooking girl with charecter who would be only yours!

Bro Vigo champ is brand new and a gorgeous looking car! close your eyes and buy one! The Thai ones are raped like I said before! you cannot get a fresh import less than 40-42 its still! an old shape!

I understand the Indus Vigo has modified injectors to handle the high sulphur content in our diesel. If that's true, it's a huge plus.

they are not modified or anything - its a different but standard design, the pressure discharge valve and suction control valve on the rail and pump are different too for countries with different fuel specification. The same items on the JDM "yateem" hiluxes/LCs were not specced for Pakistan/India diesel fuel.

if you have an old 1KD and want to spec it to your country then you need to change the PDV, pump, SCV, injectors and rewrite the ECU.

I just bought one after much hesitation, countless nights of comparing the Thai one and the local one. But in a ll honesty a brand new car is a brand new car , and in this price range nowadays one cant imagine getting a brand new Pick up. Saw many Thai ones, all of them raped by guards and Zamindars. The new ones cross the four million plus mark. Its not at all as underpowered as I imagined. Go for it!

i would suggest go for Vigo 2700cc or may be above BUT in petrol and you will love it Diesel will make you cry as the quality of our diesel is of 1960's so better on petrol than diesel ...and yes its a pickup truck go for brand new whether if it is a champ or if you can get it from japan but go for new ....

Are you happy with the decision? I ask because as a farmer driving dirt roads I really should buy a Vigo or Surf. My Jimny is too small and a 97 Prado is not suitable for carrying muddy stuff. My concern regarding Hilux and Surf, which are very practical, is their ride quality on bad roads.

I sold the Jeep by the way, but I think its way better than Vigo champ. But for loading up Vigo is the way to go. Thats just my opinion.

Surf is not suitable for loading muddy stuff as well, if your after ride quality surf is the way to go. But once you have loaded up Vigo Champ, it ain't that bad as well.

Hi! How was your experience while riding on Motorway and crossing Kallar Kahar range. Does it Stall ? As I am told by a number of people. Moreover, is the back seat really BUMPY that you can't get your kids seated nicely and comfortably.
I am of the same opinion that buying a 0 meter Vigo champ Pak model is far better than going for a 100,000 KMs prado - surf or even Thai Vigo.
I want to use this for family and Mountain trips as well. planning to remove the bars and roof rack and put a back lid.
What do you suggest ?

Its not that bad on the motorway and it does not really stall, but then again its still a little underpowered, however you can get a unichip installed in it and it can give you an additional 30 or odd HPs. Should sort it out. The back seats are uncomfortable but thats mainly because of the suspension. Coil overs can be installed they are available from Thailand now (bolt on). Its a fairly decent off roader and serves the purpose well.
