u maybe right ,, but if u go thru the history of this thread ,,, it had it ups and downs ,,, but its moving ,,, and contributors are extra ordinary, they keep the discussion pretty ineresting and every now and then we see things on a lighter note ,,, so its kinda fun here.

I dont know about others, but i am a regular reader. My assumption is there are quite of people in the internet cloud reading these postings.

I haven't contributed to this thread in a while so i'll post some pics of the car's that I saw today at the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance.

@kahmed79: Hello. Looks like I missed you at Meadowbrook today. Of course, we've never met so I wouldn't have known you were there.

Judging from your pics and the people standing around the cars, we were there photographing the cars at around the same time - especially the Delahaye!

I have just gotten back from a brutal drive in my track car from Rochester Hills to Chicago. I had a track event with Porsche club yesterday (Saturday) and so decided to continue from Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, MI to Meadowbrook - and ate up my front race tires as a result (I did not have street tires with me at Gingerman).

Did you visit the Art booth by any chance? I bought one of the prints on display by an artist named Jay Koka entitled "City" - shows a 1962 Ferrari GTO in Times Square. Luckily, I missed the RM Auction on Saturday night - I say luckily because I am always inclined to bid for the heck of it.

Anyway, here are my photos from the 30th Meadowbrook Concours. . . .

This was my first Meadowbrook Concours and I had no idea how big an event it would be. I am scheduled to be in California soon and am going to try and make it to the Pebble Hill Concours as well.

Mohsin - somewhere in these pics is a Jaguar sedan quite similar to yours.

KhakiMB - the Gullwing was close enough to touch! Seeing it being driven was great fun.

The second one seems really interesting. Judging from the size of the exhaust pipes, I suppose it's got an aero engine? Or in the case of the Merlin, maybe even a tank engine? More info would be really cool!

Interesting car, the blue Rolls Royce on white tyres. I believe this convertible has a small unique feature that sets it apart from other RRs? Anyone?
The yellow roadster with the long tailpipe and teardrop fenders seems to have Duesenberg written along the bonnet side... Sami? Am I seeing reflections?

the blue car with white tyres looks like an Isotta Fraschini - not a RR. Kahmed and WaleedS please correct me.

All the cars are fantastic but 3 cars stand out for me in this collection...the beige MB 300S, the red Mesarati Coupe and the Ferrari California Spyder

Guys I need help

somebody stole the lion mascot on the Peugoet 203's bonnet from my denters workshop. I have searched the net incl. ebay but couldn't find one. If anyone know of a 203 standing somwhere, I could do with a cast of the mascot. I 'll pay reasonable amount for a replacement or a cast.

You could get an aluminium plate, trace an image from the net, then shape it using rifler files and a band sander. Alternatively, if you do go for casting, investment casting is the way to go.

I'd personally go for the hand made route because casting of a thin piece like this would give you a couple of headaches with bubbles and/or sand being trapped in the casting.
