the lancia flavia needs to be rescued. afzaal khan has lost interest in his cars..has sold off his pristine 1969 280 SE to sum german diplomat and is slowly letting go of things...i think it wud b up4 sale...

on a seperate note; i need help from sum jap buffs, im looking for a 70s toyota celica(GT preferred),corolla coupe or mazda 808/929(rx-3/rx-4) coupe...in salvageable condition in isbd/pindi and lhr..if found in khi..in reasonable nick would also be considered...anyone with any details or ideas plz let me know.... on a rarer level, a 70s martk-1 or mark-2 coupe would be welcome..but i beleive are very VERY rare......

ahh the look of these cars...one can never get enough.

@mohsin bhai..well..in the list of most desriable 60 vehicles, you missed out two, 2 of the most, if not THE most collectible classic muscle cars of our era.

1)the 1967 Ford Mustang Gt500(early 67, with the foglamps in the middle of the grille and not the corners, C-pillar lamps and mag-500 wheels, only 4-5 are known to survive)

2)the 1970 ford mustang Boss 429(only 499 were made..of which less than 100 are claimed to survive today, a pristine original example goes for a plus of $400K)

not just because im a mustanger, but because aut buffs all across the world recognize these cars as desirable..if not VERY desirable.....

@mohsin bahi today i saw pontiac .its exterior was in great condition.but the engine was modified(toyota 4000 lts engine was fitted)which ruined the beauty of the car.they car was not for sale.

the black car is a 59 Pontiac Catalina my grand father had the same car in the safari version which was a station wagon

@all, finally traced the plymouth barracuda that has been alluding me for so long. Many thanks to qasimshah for the tipoff.

Now, its a '72-'74 as it has the ugly rubber bumper extensions. not as desirable as the '70/'71 but i'm not complaining. Still salvagable as the usual problem areas like floor pans, quarters etc are in pretty good nick. problem is the w/shop owner (he doesnt own the car) the guys asking for a million... and has been known to back out when someone has agreed to dish out that kind of money...proof is a damaged roof and a broken windscreen which were subjected to bricks when the guy first agreed and then backed out on a guy willing to dish out 1.1Million. im trying to locate the original owner in order to talk sense into him... pictures coming soon

the GT500 is a great car no doubt and should be there. I had thought of it but then didnt include it as already had the 65 convertible in the list . '70 Mustang - not a big fan....

walaikum salam. Pontiac looks in very sound condition...sad that engine is swaped with toyota but once the car is in good hands the correct engine will go back in the car....or atleast a GM V8

I finally thought of posting the pics of the Barracuda. These pics are six months old now its windscreen is fully broken,holes in the roof,all windows broken its engine and transmission are also converted into diesel.

@all the aftermath of the "brick treatment" on the 'cuda. I'm seriously pursuing this vehicle. The '70 E body cuda is by far my favorite pony car.. sorry qasim :). need all the luck I can with this one..

@shujjah if your pictures are indeed 6 months old then weather has really taken its toll on the roof as the roof is completely moth eaten. the dash has taken a beating as well. My argument with the shop owner was that if this thing is left out for another rainy season it'll be beyond redemption. also notice the lovely speaker holes on the door panels... unbelievable what this vehicle has been subjected to

I made an offer on the Cuda some 12 yrs ago, car was then parked at a down at heel 'showroom' in Satellite Town. Owner wanted a hundred thousand. I suspect one reason car is not changing hands is because the original owner (not sure who) has the papers, and the current 'owner' Wajahat cant sell. Pity, as the car is rapidly going downhill. Its an ex American embassy car and had the 318CID engine.
