Ah yes, a Grifo on the Nationale (no tolls and beautiful scenery), V8 motor lightly gurgling from its tailpipes. Who cares about the 400m dash when you're having so much fun admiring the lovely interior. Then again, a 427 c.i. Chevy motor wouldn't be difficult to call upon if a "pesky" (pardon the term) Daytona or Espada driver decides to tango...

I hope you dont restore them....except mechanically as they look very nice as they are.....just clean them up and polish

thanks - Jag looks good in the pictures.....I hope it looks better once it's done up. I am bringing it home tomorow and will start trim fitting and interior. Will keep you all posted on it's progress.

qasimshah, safeer, Imad, Jim, Yawer also dropped in during the day and spent a few hours chatting about cars....it was very enjoyable. Jim looks good in my period bike goggles.

I want to be there when the cars are off-loaded....and when the engine fires up. It is always very exciting to see a vintage car being started up after a long storage.

To the discoverer of the two beauties ......... plz do a sympathetic restoration for the cars. Which means to clean up everything, work on the engine IF REQUIRED but generally keeping everything as you find it to be. They look awesome the way they were found ......... given that they have been standing all these years ........
