aren't these what you call 'Thing' called 'kubelwagon'? nice condition....don't know much about these - are those scoop looking things on th eside original or add-ons? R25 is superb. Do u ride it often.

how did you make out that it was a Hupmobile? we had a quite an eventful day today - kc will be posting pics soon.

Had a near mishap an hour ago....I took out my Healey for yet another test drive - still using a brick as a makeshift seat and holding on to the windscreen pillar to prevent myself from falling backwards...I was reversing into my driveway and brakes failed totally....my mehanic's chota was working on the Citroen engine, Healey hit him and the tools trolley which became a sandwhich between the Healey and the Citroen. Thankgoodness Chota is ok, citroen's engine block is ok (hopefully) and Healey has ended up with 3 new dents.

Moshin and me went to bring the cars home some photos for you guys we also started the hupmobile it is always very exciting to hear the sound of the engine for the first time we will try to start studebaker today.

Those R25's are supposed to be very comfortable bikes to ride even the whole day...especially the later models...cos they have a kind of reverse shock absorber in the front...it's called an Earles Front Fork. This one has the earlier fork tubes..I'm not sure if this came with the earles fork.

My dad guessed the hupmobile name when you gave the clue of the starting with 'H' and ending with 'ile' He enjoyed the photos of the two cars and swears they're in fantastic condition....

Hey guys... stay away for a couple of days and the forum has moved several pages...

The studebaker and the other vintage car... wow.... KC... you are one lucky person. Keep the heritage intact. It would be nice to have the history of the cars posted once the show is over.

Mohsin... best of luck with the show.. I am sure it is going to be a roaring success... I will try and be over for it but a lot depends on clinical commitments here... ie serious patients, surgeries or not.

My friend Dr. Shehzad is going to be in Karachi for a couple of days....on way to airport now. He designed and supervised the construction of the Dow University of Health Sciences and is receiving a plaque of appreciation form them today. He may be bearded but a true car nut. He can pick up the TR and have it transported to Lahore. If I have your phone number he will be in touch.

Romano... Javaid was contacted by my friend Waseem Ismat... interestingly Pakistan is a truly small place... he seems to be a second third cousin to Waseem. The Chrysler is going to be inspected today.

I dont know if this ride of mine is a classic but it sure is one of a kind. First of all its a MAZDA 1500 Station Wagon(1970) i have a Diesel 1-C engine in it and its seats and stearing wheel has been changed too.

My mechanic has gone wild. He seems to have seen pics of the overdetailed Hot rods....

Will post high quality pics of the Zs suspension soon. A little teaser.... but the quality is real is really good... the hell with originality... lets go a little wild...Will lose points in concours certainly.

it is the same challenger but I am sorry to say that I got another greater challenge which was a recently charsi-ised denter and a house construction both in the same year.... gave it up due to lack of time.

I am taking on another challenge soon. Hopefully the TR

Safeershah istaking it u p. Dont have the VIN number as it is in the book and the car is too piled up forme tpo approach in all my finery.... I usually go to teh workshop on my way back form work. The car is a 73 and the engine is a replacement off a dodge ram... probably 160-180 bhp and 400 plus lb foot of torque.

Thanks for the pics, deal is final with Omar but I think in 73 model the hood have two scoop correct me if I am wrong, in 70 model the hood is flat. I will appreciate if you have some parts of the challenger in the store and can give to Omar so he will send it to me with the challenger.

I will make sure the Charsi denter....poor fellow... he is getting a bad rep because of me.... puts all the parts in order....I think I have just the front indicators in my store... the round ones below the bumper. The screens are in the car/ The engine and tranny are in the workshop in front and the dash/interior and lights and seats are in the workshop store. As far as I remember even the seatbelts were present

The engine had a working alternator/ distributor and plug leads/ new plugs etc. new pistons/ rings/ Should fire up but make sure it is free before doing it.

I am having a cleanout of the store at home prior to moving if they are there I will post them to you separately. I may have actually handed them over to the denter.

The car was a 6 cyl as far as I can gather... post Kuwait probably ....brought to Abbotabad and then b'ised with a 2C toyota... how much I hate diesel engines from Hiaces.

pleasure talking to you. TR4 is at my electricians yard. I 'll take your friend Shahzad there handover the car to him. But let me warn you.....don't end up with the most expansive TR4 in the world. That car needs W O R K. Save-able though. Let me know wherever you need my help. The 6 cyll. Triumph that you had mentioned would be a good parts car so don't let that go. If you want, I can let Shahzad take an incomplete (but in one piece) TR6 engine. It's missing the sump and head among other things.

Indeed it is the kubewagon also known as the "thing" TYPE 181 used as a boat as well as a road runner. The scoops on the side are the air vents.... all original...
Thanks for appreciating the BMW.. only if I share the pictures of it when I bought it in Kandahar you would note the type of restoration work gone into it.... Am looking for knee rest and a rear light (complete) hope some one could help... indeed it is the early type with telescopic forks the R-25 type 3 came tpycially withe the Earls Fork - and so did most R-26, 27, 58 etc

Dont worry about the expense bit.... I will contain it.

The main problem is the drive train... but it will be sorted with the triumph 2000 God willing. A new dash is 160 sterling. the screen and surround and the soft top tonneau will be the expensive bits. The dials from TR breakers along with the front and rear... Sure the TR6 short block will be appreciated. One never knows when one needs these things.
