Im very sorry to hear about the mishap the Healey had. Did you conduct an 'investigation' and find out what went wrong?? I think its necessary to avoid such tragedy in future.

I may drop in this sunday too. I still havent been given any assignments. Please feel free to ask, Im just a phone call/SMS away. My cable net can misbehave anytime so dont rely on my 'disappearances' please. My phone is on 24/7.

The rest of the cars are fine... most of them.. for reasons of legality I would like to pass on the ownership issue.

Any one else you know who has a 928? Any pictures of 928's in pakistan?
I remember there used to be a white one in karachi like 9-10 years ago .... any one seen it lately?

There were two 928's in Karachi. A white one and a silver one. No idea where they are now.

a family freind owns a 928 in islamabad. its deep maroon. iv never seen the car but my elder brother has and says its still quite clean.
n seriously..just look at the way its lying there...y do ppl get stuff they dont want to take care of..esp such pretty cars..i mean..im anal abt my celica... n doing this to such a special machine.
anyways...lets hope they find a good home..the 300zx looks very tempting

they will make new 1 for u just like orignal gas glass,

They're from the Merryweather London Company (1919 and 1921 models)

through romano, VCCCP is in touch with the concerned people in Peshawer...the ownership of these engines is disputed .... they are in pretty good shape considering their age.

Dear Mohsin Ikram sb,
It's true the local government owns them & hopefully these people can be convinced to save these engines.
However, in case of any problems the Federal Antiquity Act 1975 can be invoked (as a last option) and have these vehicles offically declared as "National Heritage" and then work with the Federal Government in their restoration.

Though personally I would prefer that this issue is amicably resolved locally and provincial culture department and local citizens/ NGOs can step in and push for their prompt restoration in a spirit of goodwill.
