I want to kick myself!!
Just a few weeks back an AMAZING bay window (thats the post 68 shape) Micro Bus was scrapped at shershah. It was bought from an eccentric uncle in PECHS.
I had gone to see the bus myself when I came to know it was for sale, but was shooed away by the servant on the pretext that 'sahab naha rahay hain'. He did not even have the courtesy to ask me to wait, which I would have eagerly.
A sneak peak inside the high dusty gates revealed an amazingly clean white over beige bus, complete in all respects. Too bad I was unable to poke my nose around.
The next I saw of this poor vehicle was a couple of weeks later, just a few parts remained on the scrap shop floor, most having been sent for melting.
Incidently, I bought the engine off this very bus, a 1600cc dual port with quite a few hard to find parts still on. Will reveal details in due course of time.
Ahhhh!! I wish people come up with thier wish lists on time for me to do something.
While on this, I do want the black convertible VW guy to be on this forum. Please invite him or at least get me his email addy.
