not fair, you are degrading the split, in international market a good restored bus can fetch nearly equal amount of mustang, healey or lincolin, you have a good idea about that ( just want to tease you ),

you gave me a new idea so I should keep the micro in original paint , i completed some mechanical work on it, only some patches are required in front and side panel.

my mamu (moak's dad - the one you met at mohsin bhai's place) had an outstanding bay window sometime back.....the bus was extraordinary with everything original intact....

unfortunately, back then the trend was to put in a diesel engine in those buses, and we followed suit.....but the positive point was that rather than a huge radiator sitting outside the body as in most cases, our job was completely hidden and the conversion could not be identified until started.....

we painted the bus white with a 'ferrari TR' on the sides that shared the original wheel arches and wheels......a kinda unique idea....

The vehicle is a McQuay-Norris Streamliners which "was produced in 1934 and was built to be driven by McQuay-Norris engine component sales representatives. McQuay-Norris used the Streamliners as test-beds for new engine parts as well as advertising the company, and for this function the interior was fixed with many dials and instruments to observe performance and engine condition. The McQuay-Norris Streamliner’s chassis and running gear were based on a Ford V8, and the aerodynamic bodywork was made from steel and aluminium attached to a wooden frame. The curved windows were made from Plexiglas.

Here are some extra facts about McQuay Norris Streamliner according to Trombinoscar.com:

The McQuay Norris Streamliner is an important piece of automotive history. The car was one of six such cars built by McQuay-Norris, a St. Louis based manufacturer of internal engine and chassis components. The cars were built using a 1934 Ford chassis and running gear and the highly advanced streamlined body design was constructed of steel and aluminum over a wood framework. The aircraft inspired windshield and canopy design was constructed of Plexiglas. The cars were built to be used by McQuay Norris representatives for promotional purposes but more importantly they used as test cars and as such they were equipped with a multitude of gauges mounted to the dash to monitor the performance of various components. It is one of 2 such cars known to exist and the only one that is restored. It was restored in 1990 and became part of the Hemmings Motor News collection until purchased from them."

The blue 3 wheeled car that is seen on Mr. Bean clips is a Reliant Robin. This was in production untill 1976 when they replaced it with a 4 wheeled car called Reliant Kitten. Robins were a common sight in UK in the early 70s. Some how all of them were the same light blue colour.

Reliant Robin and Bond Minicar (introduced in 1950's) look very familiar...both based on same concept. I have never seen Mr. Bean's movie in full....only clips here and there and did remember seeing an odd looking car...I thought it was a Bond. But very interesting that a Reliant Robin is discovered in Pakistan.

I have no idea how much would the owner expect for his T- Model Ford....his dad expected a lot, son I am sure would be two miles ahead. I 'll try and find out in a day or two. regarding the Jaguar engine...I am also looking for one.

Mohsin Bhai, Todays latest update of Citroen DS is that its on Bricks. As you said that work is on progress but i don't think so, bcz there is tarpal on the whole car and car is standing on bricks and it seems that tarpal was not removed from many days.

I also asked someone there about the ownership of the vehicle, as you said it belongs to Tauqir Awan, but a person said its from Raja Zafar.

Well I just don't understand what is the future of the Classic cars in Pakistan, as every true classic is either taken abroad, like Mercedes 300 SL Gullwings or the RRs & Bentleys, or they are taken to the doors of ignored distruction with some rackage house, like Shershah or simply Garbage House (kachra kundly.) Can anyone comment about the transfer of these National Treasures!! Serious Comments!!
