I bought a 1949 Mercedes Benz 170 SV during my post metric holidays....I must have been 16 then. I bought that one owner car for Rs.5,000/-, used it for about a month before being forced to return it to the owner as my dad was very upset with the guy who sold it to me as I didn't have a license. My second and immediate buy was a 1952 Citroen Traction that you see at the top of this page.

VCCCP celebrated the independence day by taking out a rally from my house to Creek Club where we were invited to display our cars for a few hours. 20 + cars participated. Pics are coutesy of my friend and VCCCP member Sarmad

the thunderbird fast and future spotted is in defense commercial area at the beginning of itehad, the triumphs also there. the owner has all the cars parts including original engine and trans. last year he asked for 6 laks, car restored, or i think 3 laks as is with all parts. his number is 0300-210-3050. i think its a good car to restor, but personally do not like its rear quarter styling.

also in the pictures of the corona restoration theres a dodge challenger, is that car for sale, whats the story on it?

oh and if i remeber correctly the last time i saw the thunderbird up close it had the taillight panel from a dodge challenger, hopefully its going back to the challenger or maybe the gentlemans still got it, so if the challenger needs a tail light thats an option.

i think from 63 to 71 was the best time for american muscle likewise 30's to 40's era for european cars.

my favorite era's are pre-war 1935-9 and post-war 1949 - 1958........most of my dream cars come from these periods

Just met a guy who claims that he saw 2 bikes in Pindi, Lalazar area. The bikes were a 1955 HRD Vincent Black Shadow and a 1930' s Brough Superior. He claims to ave bought the HRD for 100,000/- and the bike will be in Karachi.

@All, - There has been a lot of talk regarding the Triumph Herald. I have seen one in red parked for over 2 months by the roadside. Get off Murree Road into Barakhau Bazaar, going in the Simley direction, cross the police station (the wall is being reinforced) shortly before the bazaar ends and the road dips to the left the Herald is parked on the right side of the road you cant miss it. If you have gone downhill towards the first bridge you have gone too far. I am not sure if it is for sale but for all those who are interested you know where to go. Just in case the directions are unclear please send a pm.

@Jamaal, Thats right! Although the Vincent is more popular, in my view the Brough Superior is the most stylish bike ever made. Old boy George made the finest bikes the world has seen todate. Hope Mohsin has a lead on the one in Pindi.

I met this guy, Saad after a long time at a workshop the other day. He does freelance car repair/restoraion work for his customers. Claims to be restoring a Mercedes 190 SL for a PIA Captain....I know two PIA pilots who own 190 SL's. Will go and check out some day. He claimed that he he has bought the Vincent for 100,000 rupees, says bike is extremely low mileage and original. Says that he saw the Brough Superior as well but the owner is not selling yet. LOOK FOR IT PINDI WALAS

well i dont agree with others, i think you should focus on your study and future planning, i think after ten years you will be in a position to start a project with your own money otherwise you will not value your car unless you dont spent money from your own pocket.
