The Goodwood revival car park... the taster was the CSi...there was one modern car park..,where all the post ..1970 cars were directed and the ones where people were parking the classics.

The Csi was in the modern park!!!! as was the cobra...

btw any chance of a mortal like me hitching a ride in that alfa touring spider?

the touring spider is in for painting and restoration....should be another two months i am afraid... after that...

take a look at the cars in the background... the astons, the mgbs and the ac cobras...and especially the lancia flaminia coupe...

@neurosurgeon - we were thinking of holding a classic car show in Lahore on 9th Nov afternoon to evening. About 15 cars from Karachi and 10 or so cars in Lahore should make a reasonable display.

@mohsin i think thats a great idea.. may i recommend the Lahore polo club as a venue... their parking area is ideal for that number of cars...any members of the club on this forum?

i know the owner of the 914. The original attempt was to convert it into a water cooled car. it looks that this has not been done. the Jag is beautiful. .....lets hope it gets restored quickly

sure November 9 should be good... but what about the trip

the jag was in very good shape as was the corniche (minus the engine), the two modern mercs were both 560s (belonging to the same gentleman), the mustang is actually a karachi car with a blue interior. the interior was in pretty good nick. the atom clone had a celica 2zz, the owner gave me a ride in it... was very well balanced and good fun too.

@neuro, the 914 has been waiting for a resurrection for a bit. not very high on my classic list but do you think the owner will part with it? also, just noted the background cars...the flaminia looks great, any closeups?

Oh my my, what a car the Flaminia was.Technically one of the most advanced cars of its time, suffered through lack of development. What an engine derived from the D 50 Lancia racing engine, allied with a de dion axle and four discs.
No red zone on the rev counter! The only other car which could do that was the Lamborghini Miura.

according to wiki 500-600 in total were produced........ so this is something to be owned i guess...... let the experts tell us now..... and it was a new registered one so im waiting for someone who knows this guy

Jag is a Mk 1 ex-Behram Avari - bought by a Police DIG who got it restored...the engine was taken out and sold to a kabari and a Toyota Mk II unit went in....later a jag engine was sourced for this car. I dont know the current status.

The Mustang just got sold in Karachi, a '66 with a 6 cyll engine. Clean car requiring some work.

Transam is a '74 ex kashif then Ahsan Rasheed who sold it for 4 lacs some years ago.

What have they done to the fintail MB? I remember a silver 914 in Lahore. Owner was Omar Tiwana if I remember correctly. Is it the same car?
