u just donot understand wat classics are..driving sumthing unique just 4 the sake of standing out dus not make any1 a classic enthusiast..n then u have the audacity to call them pieces of metal?
that impala u just commented on..ys it nice?did it belong 2 sum1 in ur family?no right?..its nice cos its a piece of history, and you or any1 else who(who might own them) does not respect the history of these pieces of art by calling them hulks of metal is as far from being a classic enthusiast as a mechanic is from a mechanical engineer...
i once told u b4 as well..learn to respect these pieces of history, if u don't, u will never fully understand anything remotely important about them. and also realize that ppl older than u might know a thing or two abt life more than you..

Sir I have spotted an Austin A40 lying around here in sort of a junkyard. I am not sure of the model may be a 1947/48 2-door Dorset. Would you be interested in having a look? And what help can you lend me if I go on a ride restoring it?

nice car but requires a lot of work and love. Only worth it if you get it cheap and you like the shape / car. What help can I lend? you tell me.....we are all here on this thread to advise you. You will have to find reasonable denter, painter to work on it.

Mohsin can you tell me please where can i find a gearbox for Chevrolet Caprice Classic 1979 and how much would it cost. A repair job could do as well as I'm only having trouble with the Reverse gear. I believe the car's model is 1979 as i mentioned earlier. I haven't got the documents for it as yet.
Its a full original car imported direct from USA and had only one previous Dr. owner. The car has only done 20,000 miles owing it to be in just one hand.
I would really appreciate if you or anyone else could help.

I believe I can get it cheap and I am already working on it. And I believe I am willing to go all the way to restore this or any other vintage which needs saving/preservation.

But what I am not sure is that whether I will have to pull it out from that junkyard and will have to take it to KHI coz I dont believe we have any such capabale ppl here when it comes to restoration.

Is it practical to put it up some where near you over at KHI to kick off the restoration so that I have the advice of the most seasoned vintage restorer, one can get to work with?

Furthermore, is there some Renault 4 among the vintages out there that you know of? There is one Renault 4 1965 that I am holding for restoration. I want to start off with that. Any advice I can get on that too?

A 1979 Chevy trans should be easily rebuildable using a full rebuild kit. Do you have the trans code for the unit?

if the pics wont have told, or maybe im wrong that the skoda is also at the same place as this car is....... and there is something else as well thats missing in the pictures.... maybe i am confused as my knowledge isnt based on my own eyes
