Yes Qasim, you are absolutely rite this one was parked at Walton in some workshop. It has toyota Cressida Engine with Mazda dashboard. I want to restore it back to its original condition with 289 or 302 engine, it also requires a complete new suspension and dashboard. would appreciate if some one can guide me on procuring some parts(if available) locally. I am already in touch with cjponyparts.com in US. they have 306 crate engine available. the major cost in resotration project is engine and suspension so any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

A lot of cars that I buy are without papers at the time I buy them...as long as you are sure that the actual owner is selling that car and its not a stolen vehicle, go for it and get the papers done from excise....you may have to use influence of some kind or make a strong case....my cars that you see at the top of this page didnt have papers....Citroen is still without papers and I hope to be getting them made after almost 3 decades of ownership. Lincoln was phenominally expansive when I bought it so spent a lot of time at the Excise office and got the papers made.....my Mustang had no papers neither did the Healey and the split window beetle. Beetle papers got done last week and the car is in my name....Mustang got done last month after 10 years in my ownership.....Healey is still in the que.

If you like a car - grab it and get the papers done. This black Lincoln you mention is included in the disputed list.....now thats dicey.

Give an ad in the paper saying that you are planning to buy this car and the owner claims that he doesnt have regd papers. If anyomne has any objection to this sale please get in touch with so and so within 7 days of this notice.

I used the newspaper thing once to buy my "oldtimer car" a mazda cosmo with dead rotary engine - from PECHS Karachi - as usual parked at a mechanics shed - owner died off just one remaining daughter living in Kenya somewhere.

the mechanic was suggested by me that he needed brain surgery to justify the Rs 200,000 price tag of his so called 2 door mazda 1500 which did not work - After quite a bargain I got it for 20% of his price - and had to work the paper, excise and what not to get it sorted. long but workable as the car was karachi registered

btw did anyone ever see the E28 BMW rusting in peace near liaquatabad RHD too

i just talked to random people here for ur idea of a GTG and all gave in beautiful ideas and showed interest that id share once they are scrutenized

we young lads should start this up here as u guys did back in 80s..... that may increase others interest and we can create a good community here so that whenever we travel to khi or you here we all enjoy a VINTAGE AND CLASSIC CUP OF TEA

I had asked Romano to start a Pindi / Isb chapter sometime ago. You guys get together and file a membership form through our website....will be operational soon. We'll definitely going to enroll you and give recognition to this chapter....good luck.
