I am surprised to see this W123 that it went out of city and the owner is changed.The owner before it kept it very well and also participated in the show held in royal Palm Country Club some pictures which i captured of it ..

I think it is, the blue one with the white stripes had an 'AC' Karachi registration number. The current owner has restored it completely, let me see if I can get a hold of some picture.

this pic was taken the next day this car arrived
the day at the show...... it was well washed etc and now it was at a workshop since 3 days

moreover the camera in the LHR pic is much better than my phone ofcourse

i had seen the car in lhr and it wasnt as good as the owner wanted 800k

Posting here after a very long time. Update - Got my MGB back from the person I sold it to in 2008. Gave away the Diamler 250 V8 in exchange. Mohsin originally tried to disaude me but he knows too well that these transactions are not made with market values in mind. In the 2 weeks since I have reacquired the B, I have driven it more often than I drove the Diamler in the last 6 months.

Sir you exchanged your Daimler 250, how could you do that,
I have been spending the last few months desperately, slowly and painfully restoring a Mark 2, I wish I knew you owned a Daimler 250, would have been a great help.
If you could please PM me where the Daimler went (with the new owners permission) I would love to see it.

Also if anyone has any Jaguar MK2 parts, anything at all I would be eternally greatful if you could let me know and come to an arrangement for me to take them off your hands, any information on parts availability will also be helpful, no part is too small or too large, whether it's a wirewheel, a spring, a switch/button, logo/emblems or an engine, even a whole donor, anything no matter how big or small please let me know, any help would be really, truly, deeply be appreciated.

I have been in love with this car since as far back as I can remember and have been trying to aquiring one for the last 8 years, finally with the grace of Allah I was able to find one and after selling a lot of stuff I had accumulated over the years and put away for a rainy day, I was able to find the money to buy it, now I want to put it back on the road where it belongs and that will not be possible without help. I know a lot of parts are available internationally but accessibility is difficult...

I dont know you Faraz but I know what Jaguar Mk II you are talking about or atleast I think I know. Old English White, beige interior, good body and overall condition, wheel caps and not wires, non orig engine / gear when you bought it, It's in Asim's name. Am I right?

This is the same MK2 which you bought from Lahore in 2008 and wanted to keep for yourself, formerly maroon and you also posted it's pictures on this thread.

I remember seeing the pics, reading your post about wanting it for yourself but having to share it and I thought to myself that someday I'll get a car like that,

Would never have guessed that 3 years later Allah had destined it to be the very same car I actually ended up with.

I also saw the same car in 1999 or 2000 near the Car Deals dealership at the then Schon Circle, it was leaking oil all over the road and the owner was looking into the bonnet, I stopped by the road side and looked at the car, thought wow someday I'll be like this guy and get this car, I was quite pesky and probably annoying walking around the car and admiring it while the owner was unhappily looking under the bonnet, ending up chatting to the gentleman, offered some help, he said he knew someone at Car Deals so ended up towing him to the front of Cardeals with a telephone cable which we found on the side of the road!!! Missed a class of a summer courseI was doing at the time and the teacher penalised me for it too but it was worth it!

I am happy that you got this car as you seem to have the passion and resolve to get it going. I may have a few tit bits of Jaguars that are original for a Mk II....will have to look around. But surely not something you would need. I have a set of front disc callipers, light switch and maybe a horn push..
