Dear Mohsin Bhai, thanks, yes I think you are right.
@wasifali: No dear, this is in the outskirts of Mianwali (my city).
If anyone know of any project car of similar shape that is up for sale, I would be very much interested.
Took the Mini out for a spin two days ago. The steering was too light and there was a bit of torque steer but its getting there..... sorted out today I am tod... but it tracked straight and true
I had a bad experience with Javaid the painter opp pepsi factory... avoid him like the plague... bad man and completely unprofessional...anyhow the car is well on the way to paint now.
the seats are being done up in leathera nd the dash cover in leather is also ready. watch this space...........
the cortina arrived from PIndi courtesy Romano... the enxt project already here while the previous ones are still on....
This is going to have the Miata engine put in to become a resto mod ford cortina GT..... pseudo Lotus Cortina Mk1.................the rear lights are EXPENSIVE....and a final picture just to show that there is some sanity left
the last picture in the alfa post.. see the Saab 96 V4 tucked away in the background... thats being readied too
@neurosurgeon - you have your hands full but must be quite an experience going from a workshop to an operation theatre or otherwise. Good to see both Mini and Alfa coming together...Alfa will rock. What color do you plan to have on it. Saab project should be nice too. Not many of those left here. I only knew one in Karachi.
the saab 96 belongs to shahzad leghari...my friend who took the datsun 260z off my hands...he had wanted one since med school and i could not refuse him.....should be ready october end.....
some delays are because i have been spending a lot of time in operation theatre in the last month.... now for the cars the next couple of weeks
the colour for the alfa.... its a toss up between the rosso alfa ar501 and the le mans /french blue ar342 ... everyone is pushing me for the red
both fantastic but red depicts Italian cars where as blue is more French. Go for red buddy, it would look beautiful. If ever you plan to take part in a Mille Miglia in your 'Touring' Spider I am your navigator
Love your car collection, ma.
@ neurosurgeon. I would paint it blue due to blue being one of my fav colours. Saying that it would look sweet it any colour ( red, black, white, ) to name a few. Good luck.
@neurosurgeon: I would vote for Red
@ Qasim - gear up for another Mustang related shock.......an original '65 hardtop has just come out of its hiding in Karachi...and sold.
I shimmied. I seriously did when I saw its photo taken in Khi. Hope I find one 65 or 69 stang when I am able.
65 is the most prettiest classic to me though, glad there are plenty but damn these owners won't ever let go, I know, no matter what.
just one pic for now of my restored w 115 200d :P:P
ENJOY!!!!
I remember seeing a few Citroen DS in Karachi - all parked as rusting relics at mechanics places or outside some houses. Havent seen a restored one in Pakistan though.
I know of only two surviving the rot, one in Karachi parked inside a factory in SITE belonging to one Mr. Yousuf Siddiqui. The other one is in Islamabad outside a workshop going through pretty shoddy work ... that one belongs to Mr. Tauqir Awan.
push
Is the Karachi car the same white one that was parked outside a house behind La-Rosh catering in Nazimabad?
are there any fastback mustangs in pak. also the notchbacks 5.0s
