@Mohsinikram
Sorry for the Hiatus Sir! Rest assured, I'm scouring this thread everyday. As for kahmed79@PW.com, he has his exams these days, so he's rather (read-extremely) busy.
Back to the cars:
What engine does the Crown come with? I hope it's the 2.6 straight-6. Seems to be a very nicely kept car Mashaallah as does the Herald. Good luck for the sale!
As for the E-type, what can I say? The "owner" deserves to be strung out in his knickers with pink socks on a flagpole with the words "I-let-an-E-type-rot-because-I-didn't-want-to-admit-that-I-am-a-cheapskate"" painted in red on his chest! (phew!...) It's a Mk1 isn't it? The most desirable of the bunch.
I know, sometimes it's difficult to juggle finances to justify a restoration, but if I were him and I wanted to restore the car at a later date, I would take a few weekends getting dirty to clean the car properly, inspect for damage, then start doing small "preservative" repairs so that it doesn't deteriorate further.
If I knew I couldn't restore the car at all, even later, I'd negotiate a fair price with someone who's interested, and sell it off to someone who has the means and determination for a full restoration. At least then I would be able to see the car in it's full glory once again.
