This pic was taken in 1991. I had bought this MG TD in pieces for Rs.4,000/-. The car was being reatored when someone stole the bonnet which is almost half the car. Those were non internet days and my salary of 5,000 pm didn't help. I wrote to various MG TD parts walas, they had every body part but the bonnet. Did find some ads for used bonnets in 'Hemmings' (havent seen one in ages) but the daunting task of paying for it in USA, getting it shipped and cleared from customs was enough to make me abandon the project. The car was sold subsequently to another enthusiast who has stored the car as a future restoration project since he lives in LA, USA.

The red one I almost acquired last year, brought it home but unfortunately the deal didn't go through and I returned the car. Still talking to the owner and may get it Inshallah. I love MG T series.

the Polara is on some page in this thread. Do not know price, we passed the showroom at night, and were only able to get some hazy camera phone pics. Am a little confused by yr definition of a muscle car, all of them MUST have eight cylinders...

@Sami, yes, the car is very 'Blues Brothers'
@HJ2006, the two Humbers are NOT alike, look closer. The Karachi car is a smaller model.

the Humber Hawk belongs to Dr Saboor Malik who lives in C block model town. The Merc coupe is Zahid Saeed's dunno what he does but he is member of the Early Birds at the Gymkhana. Golf teeing off at 5am in summer and 6am in winter. Parked there always. Bad alloys though

@Omerjelani, exactly what kind of 'help' required? I dont think I can find you a muscle car with less than 8 cylinders, so, whats next on yr wishlist? Details would help.

@All, there was one 6 cylinder American muscle car in the 80s, any guesses? It was a coupe, and had a name that sounded like a horse race..
If memory serves. it held the Pikes Peak record too.

Well i heard that if any relative of yours is living out of country from some years they can import their old car as transfer of residence scheme better check with the related people to confirm this.
Another option is to import an old car in parts or as old scrap . That can work anytime.
