Does your insurance go up if you buy an Audi or is it still the same? I was quoted an extra $240 top up added to my already existing auto insurance by my then insurer Belair Direct. Apparently white color adds up extra since statistically white cars have higher chances of a collision in snow.

well insurance rates depends on type of car, the equioment it has and all the saefty features. My VW insurnace went by $15/ Month due to tracking capability. Also I have discounts on DRL, covered garage, defensive driving course, and on top of all this major discount is applied if you are accident and violation free for three years atleast. Just to give you an example. I had an accident in 2009 July. I was paying 129/ month before that. After accident when my insurance was renewed it jumped to 233/ month. then I bought my second car and my insurance went to 389/ month in mid 2010. Now as of today I pay 159/month for fully bumper to bumper coverage ( collision + comprehensive) all glass included plus rental car reimbursment and road side assistance. That all too for my two cars which are actualy brand new almost. Drivining history. the state you live in and type of car all make or break your insurance.

simple.. U r not a safe driver.. not only accidents if u have moving violation that also increase ur premium..

n i guess its not allowed to take car out on road without insurance but why is that so?

yes,. moving violation goes on your driving history.. like speeding. red light.. drunk driving , wrong way driving, abrupt lane changes, not using indicators.. and amny more if you are caught u get not only a ticket but also the point. sometime cop just gives u ticket and put smaller charges if cop is good.

medical coverage,lawyer fees etc are some really good things to get this insurance
btw they have this point system here as well when they challan,n i think something happens after certain no of points
