Can anyone suggest me a good mechanic for Vitz in Lahore. ? The problem is this that on petrol vehicle pick is very low and missing is also there. So i want a person that can find the exact problem as i have tried a lot of mechanics and they done tuning, plug changed, ring and piston changed etc... but the problem is still there.

Change yout fuel filter and clean the fuel injectors from toyota sahara motors.

STP is safe for any gasoline engine. You can try that. As per engine oil, always used manufacture recommended. For Vitz, it's 5w-30 but people are using 10w-40 mostly.

Use this small bottle : Fuel Cleaner by STP® | Complete Fuel System Cleaner Get it from Hyperstar, and pour this in the fuel tank which should be at least 70% full.

and then use couple of times with next fill ups : Gas Treatment by STP® | The Original STP® Fuel Additive also available at hyperstar. Should make a difference.

Lastly use Shell Helix Ultra 5w-30 (it's costly but good), or any other companies 5w-30 which is recommended for vitz & put a genuine Toyota Oil Filter.

possibly air circuit problem, your air filter is leaking air, also check for any broken engine mount

@jigzyy: Ok i will try to use this filter today. and m already using helix ultra 5w... @ahmed: I have checked air filter leakage, but its fine. I was also thinking that may be it is due to air leakage.
Dear can anyone knows any excellent mechanic so that he may physically check it and it will be very easy for him to trace the acutal bug

Dear rehaan. Have you changed your engine. How much alteration you have done. 1krfe engine have cvt transmission but 1nzfe often comes with manual transmission and rare automatic.
Final and most important thing how you feel the drive now. Any issues or no issues at all? I want also change my engine with 1nrfe. Which is cvt 1.3 and very economical then all other engines. Hope to get your answer soon. Thanks.

People usually do not change it, and it results in inferior response from the tranny and hence the drive quality is effected

Never heard this before. My car drive is excellent. The only problem is fuel consumption is very high in city. 10 km per liter. But on highways its 17. 1krfe engine is not giving good consumption in city thats why I wanted to switch my engine to 1nrfe. If anyone had experience please share. Thanks in advance.

test the ECU fuel trims, AFR sensor reading and MAF reading before you swap engines, you should also check the engine mechanical health before saying yes to swap - you might end up in a bigger mess.

Xulfiqar bhai. The engine health is fine. But 99% of driving in city and having a bad fuel consumption is too much. You know the petrol prices are very high. And every fifth day I am in the row of filling my tank with high octane and super. Almost 20000 per month. I just wanted to reduce it to like 13000. Why swapping engines are not recommended if I buy the engine with wiring and ecu. Your advise will be highly appreciated as you are most experience person. Thanks

Engine mounts are fine. Replaced one last month. Tyres are bigger then normal. 195 are installed rim size are 14. Maybe this the problem?

Was about to ask this question :-), you cannot expect such a tiny engine to drag those 195's and not protest about it, in this case by gulping in more fuel. You need to switch to a reasonable size ASAP, 165's aren't easily available in 14 easily so at least get it to 175 and it would make things very different for your fuel situation. Also are the rims stock or aftermarket ?

Can you check that you have the correct plugs i.e. K20HR-U11 running with the exact gap of 1.1 mm ? Also do try to install the normal copper one's and not the iridium, yes the cars that are imported come
with iridium but the reason is that labor costs are insane over there and those last really long, but copper would be better in short term just throw them away at
25K kms and you are good to go

Is the CAT removed ? Have you checked that the intake is not taking excess air from any leaks / cracks in the plastic ? Which brand of air / fuel filters are you using ? Ever changed the fuel filter ?
