Dear Fellows, I am the new driver so i don't have much awareness about cars. I have bought Vitz 2010 in good and original condition but while driving i noticed that my car is struggling to accelerate more than 80km/hr. Can anybody tell me what is the reason and solution of this issue?
Check the fuel pump

Do u have OBD ?So u can read the rpm...
Most probable causes are Fuel Pump being faulty or Engine has lost it's compression power.Go for a compression test which will cost you around 500-1000 in local market. If compression is not good it's your engine who's not healthy. Else if compression is good, Fuel Pump is faulty and should be replaced.
Please suggest some good mechanic in Karachi for this issue as I am facing the same issue with 2009 model vitz. I believe the same could be related to a choked Cat converter. I am looking for a place in Karachi to get it cleaned too. If somebody could help me in this issue ad well.
Go for full maintainance likeTuning Clean the thorttle bodyClean the spark plugsClean the catalytic ConverterChange the air filter
Everybody is suggesting to clean CAT or removed but nobody is telling from where i can go for this plz brothers Help !!!!
Never remove CAT, it will eat your engine and average. Either clean it or replace it with a used one.I am not from Karachi so can't help actually.
I am not in karachi but last week i cleaned my Passo CAT converter. Process is very simple.
I did this process from caltex oil change and service center in PWD rawalpindi.
How much they charged you for it?I suspect carbon cleaning is not the right process of doing it. They actually kind of wash it and put HCL in it for complete carbon burn out. How's your experience afterwards? Feel any difference?
I think it will remove the blockage main part and drive will be good after thar but this method will not be helpful to completely clean it.. but still its a good a less cost way to clean it.

I also did other tunings like tappets checking, throttle body cleaning. Everything costed 3,500 labor. They mentioned that earlier some ppl used sweep to clean the catalytic converter but now carbon cleaning chemicals are used.
Before cleaning CAT, light from other side of catalytic converter was not visible. After cleaning almost 70% holes were open.
Drive is a bit better. Gear shifting on acceleration is better. My main concern was fuel economy. I haven't measured that after cleaning.
That is good! Do let us know about the average as well.
