whar r advan and disadvan of resetting ecu? Does resetting ecu increase mileage?

Toyota claims it to be 21.6 km/l for 1000cc non start/stop category.

I am getting 16+/Ltr in city and 20+/Ltr on motorway with full AC and eco drive mode.

I got vitz 2012 few days ago.
38k mileage.
Engine oil chane - liqui moly 5w30
Genuine toyota air and oil filter

My mileage avg is 14.6 with full ac in city(Highway,city mix)

i only use high octane.

Is this mileage is fine or it can b improved. If yes then how?

8.8km/l in hot summers now weather is better.and the average is max 10KM/l note 8-10 km/l on min acceleration this pic i captured while cruising on highway at 70km on economy mode! :-p

Wow 19 is an awesome average. How come. I'm getting 12 in the city.

I never got more thn 11 avg on my 2012 vitz. 19 is kinda hard to digest
