Yes agreed. I have extensive experience with civic too and it performs best on total 9000 API SN 5w-30 fully synthetic.

And 660 CC also perform as intended on total 9000 API SN 5w-30 fully synthetic :).

However i strongly recommend to not go below 5w-30 viscosity in Pakistan conditions, even though i had used ZIC A+ 5w-20 for extensive period of time in my other rides however had to keep change interval at 3K KMs instead of recommended 5K kms considering i used to feel degradation in normal performance afterwards.

Yes your are right about it but if these were old engines then viscosity temp chart index suits it

But as you had only used zic then brother it's not a synthetic oil at all. Please use synthetic fluid in your vehicle and you won't see the performance degradation at all.

I would be mentioning fully synthetics only, from reputed brands, and meeting latest API SN / SN Plus, and / or ILSAC GF-5 criteria (of course from the brands which I know about Many many brands are there which I do not know)

0w-20: Caltex Chevron, Total Quartz 9000 Future series, Kixx, ZIC & Shell

5w-20: ZIC & Shell

5w-30: Total Quartz 9000 Future series & Kixx

(These all above mentioned oil grades & brands are confirmed available in Pakistan)

Valvoline, Mitasu, Totachi and Amsoil, all offer 0w-20, 5w-20 and 5w-30, however, regarding availability of 0w-20, 5w-20 and 5w-30 all, by Valvoline, Mitasu, Totachi, Amsoil in Pkaistan, I am not sure.

As per http://liquimolypakistan.com/ (the official website), only 01 oil is mentioned in 0w-20 and 5w-30 each (I could not find anything for 5w-20). For 0w-20: http://liquimolypakistan.com/special-tec-aa-0w-20/ SPECIAL TEC AA 0W-20 is there, which is based on synthesis tech. (and is not fully synthetic, because for fully synthetic, Liqui Moly International has a separate category, and this oil is not found there), similarly is true for 5w-30: http://liquimolypakistan.com/special-tec-aa-5w-30/ SPECIAL TEC AA 5W-30. These both are based on synthesis tech. and are not fully synthetic.

Mind sharing which brand you used, and from where you bought the engine oil? Model year of your ride, total driven, and quantity of engine oil poured?

Yes, both share the same 1KR-FE, but 1KR-FE pre 2014 (or 2015 at max.), and 1KR-FE post 2014 are slightly different.

Your engine is weak, get a new engine assembly or if you want to keep it going use. 5W50 Fully synthetic (Recommend) or 20W50. This will compensate the problem with your engine.

used Zic 0W-20
in 3000 km car lost 0.5 ltr of oil
its 2012 passo with actual mileage of 80,000 ----50k japan driven - 30k PK driven

Yes, you are right. They all are quite honest and fair in their dealings. No doubt and a second thought about them. And they do sell 100% genuine and original engine oils. Once I enquired, and they told me that they buy directly from the companies (instead of authorized distributors, dealers, etc.)

Now coming towards engine oil level in my ride:

I know that dipstick is not the correct way of measuring exact quantity of engine oil in the engine (Yes, its level can give you some idea), however, I have observed that in my case, ZIC A+ 5w-20 in 1KR-FE in Nov. 2015 model Vitz, after driving for almost ~2400 Kms, engine oil level is MA SHA ALLAH still the same, i.e. it is touching the max. mark, and haven't gone down as of today, and now. Yes, the colour has slightly changed and become a sort of dirty.

1L/1000 KM as per toyota manual and its normal (dictating no issues with the engine). you can also check it yourself. i copy pasted the extract on some other thread sometime back.

60k km mileage when I bought Vitz 2013 Japan model as I bought this car I pour 0-20 made in Japan oil also change its transmission oil after 3800 km when I went to oil change shop for inspection reason I come up only 750ml left engine oil dealer claim that probably due to thick oil habit of engine as on a oil change log history I find last 3 engine oil was future5000 10-40. So do thanks ALLAH your car engine didn’t get seal. Meanwhile after liquid moly engine flush dealer pour 10-40 and ask me to inspect oil level after every week so after around 1200km drive I find very little drop of oil level from max point. Kindly do suggest me shall I pour to max level or keep it use till 5000km to check how much oil it will drop

the oil is way too black, your engine is running too rich, there is a problem with your efi system

Sorry didn’t get you. But another thing I forget to mention that the dealer also poured liqui moly oil additive 150ml along with engine oil so he also said that you might feel oil get black but it’s due to oil additive colour itself. I have attach latest image of oil level condition kindly do help me out from this issue either need top up to max leve or shall I make it run till 5000km.

Switch to 5w30 instead at next oil change.
Look for any sort of minor leaks and check condition of pcv valve as well.

I have never been able to make my car Vitz 2012 oil level to Max level just because of fear not fill more then Max except the day Lube guy pour fresh oil (3 litre liqui moly 10w-40 and 150ml liqui moly oil additive) and that was my 2nd oil change from the day I bought this car prior to this oil change! In first I poured 0w-20 Toyota Made in Japan engine oil just to think that it will be best for him without having enough knowledge that if car got thick engine oil habit it’s not good to go down which cause very very bad result that after driving 3800km I bring car to a lube shop to have routine check up I come up only 700 to 800 ml oil left in my car. There I like to mention few things that when car got 0w-20 I feel vibration in engine so I thought it gonna fix after sometime due to change of oil brand, 2 time car get off while driving but get start on first time but feel less power, on hard paddle I feel slow response to run it fast but I had no idea where is the problem even due to this experience I also replace my plug with original plug also

Let me conclude my post that after having very less oil left condition we immediately decided to first flush engine, poured 10w-40 liquimoly oil as already mention along with oil additive and have been advise to check oil level after every week since from that day I check my oil level once after every week and drive about bit more then 2000km in between I poured 2 time about 100 to 150ml oil just not to fill more then max level here is the current oil level from both side of oil dip stick. Last, day before yesterday I also done compression test of my car and results are A175, B150, C150.

I would suggest to perform a smoke test and dont waste your time on viscosity changing index as it would not help if the engine is detoriated . SO perform the smoke test and see if the smoke is present then keep using standard 10w40 oil and change it on 3000kms. So it would survive well if not then rebuild or replace the engine for proper performance and stability

Do you know any place in Lahore who can done these 2 test like smoke and viscosity change index. Rest I will do update about result once get done after that your opinion will be worth considering.
