As salaam o alaikum. Why don't you consider 1.8 L Altis engine. Its 136 bhp, vvti toyota engine and probably would be a bolt on thing too.
brothers swaping engine from 1SZ t0 1NZ would be the worst alteration, because those Vitz cars which are equiped with 1NZ engines are Vitz RS version, which are equiped with powerful brakes, fully ventillated front and rear Discs, besides, the frame of 1000cc is SCP10 frame which is comparatively weak in holding the weight and strength of 1NZ, whereas the Vitz RS version NCP13 frame is specially been manufactured for speed, thril and road grip
hey bro, did you swap the engine by the way? am also planning to swap 1.0 with a kabuli 1.3 in my vitz 2005-08, but they say i need to change the gear set as well. plz share your experience,
I've got 1.3L Vitz, 2NZFE, It has the same K410 CVT transmission as the 1.0L version.
Drive 1.3L first to experience what gains you'd see, its an OK experience to me for daily driving. Swapping 1.5L with manual tranny would be more like it, but thats just me.
Thanks Abzia, by the way, what was the effect on the famous 'vitz knocking' is the engine vibrationsn and knocking over. frankly that all i want. my mechanic told me that swaping 1.0 engine with 1.3 (with complete gear) would cost me about 60k.
I've not experienced any knocking at all in last 3 months of owing it. Additionally it's engine boom noise is much lower than 1.0L. I've no idea of engine cost though.

ABS brakes didn't have to do anything with the stopping distance of a car. A car with ABS and one without ABS, both have almost the same stopping distance. The difference is that ABS would only allow a driver to steer his car during braking.
