I think it is because of engine oil. If we may use thick oil, we might get rid of this knocking.
As it seems in cold , it is not knocking. Only diff is temperature and it is directly proportional to engine oil
@thbaig
Sir use Hi Octane, knocking will be gone IN SHA ALLAH. If you use thick oil, fuel consumption will be ruined, and its not good for the engine in cold weather.
everyone usually say that. But the point is why regular gasoline not knock in low temperature ?If this is the case, car has to knock in either weather.
I have experienced more knocking with Zic A+ (5W-20). Earlier was using Toyota oil (10-40) and the knocking was almost not there at all.
Add octane booster. situation has improved a bit however intend to switch back to 10-40 oil asap. I hope this will surely improve the knocking issue.
Sir actually regular fuel is low octane. Low octane means some of the fuel will burn before going to the combustion chamber because of high temperature, thats why it sounds kar kar kar kar. Hi Octane can handle high temperatures.
@thbair
Ok there is one more thing called knock sensor, may be its not working correctly or requires cleaning or replacement.
Avoid driving at noon.....
i have same issue... use hioctane ur prblem will be slved.... if it still occurs try getting ur thrtle bdy servced... INSHALLAH after using hioctane ur prblem will be slved.. first empty ur fuel tank by consuming all the petrol. den use almost 2000rs hioctane and den use 60 40 ratio of petrol and hioctane... prblem will be slved... and avoid using TOTAL fuel... i exprencied alot of knocking in my GS150 too after getting fuel from total.. idk what is the reason...
i think it has something to do with the ocv which controls the vvti.
The real problem is that when the temperature is high, gas particles inside the shock absorbers gain kinetic energy and expand but when the temperature is lower the molecules lose kinetic energy and come back to their orignal position.
@muhammad.irtiza
Sir howcome the shock absorbers cause the engine knocking?
@sd
Did you use the Mukka Chowk TOTAL pump?
is there anyone else experienced more knocking after shifting to Zic A+?
I thought it was knocking with the ground.
@ustaad
yup. muka chowk total pmp... i think ye badnam hai isi wja sey... thts y u caught it... and once i also used total pmp at highway after shell pmp to the right... xprnced sme issue...
check for thermostat valve in the cooling system. what about cooling fans & coolant ?? running direct on plain water in radiator? if its is FUEL issue it will always knock, - Thats a high engine temperature & timing advance which causes knock only during afternoon thats' when atmospheric heat is at peak too
@SER_GTR, @syncview, @Xulfiqar @rustam54 @margallar, @argtr65 - am speechless
you changed the laws of chemistry :S
