yesterday my gauge showed 3km range left (not wanting to take chance - i filled up)

So quick question - does the reserve fuel kick in after this or is my car gonna stall due no petrol left...

And whats the car range on reserve fuel ...

If anyone knows / has experimented will be greatfull...

2005-2011 model has 42 litres tank and if you fill it up till the neck add another litre to it. My figure usually comes at 43 or 44 as I make sure that it is filled upto the neck

Guys one more advice. Dnt fill it to the neck as it bleeds the petrol in pipe through a vacuum pipe. so its practically wasted. I came to experience it after wasting petol in last 3 fills

42 litres is inclusive of reserve

due to the shape of tank the bars near full got more fuel hence more mileage and they takes time to fall however after half the bars start dropping more quickly. you need to fill up ur tank and zero trip meter then note the km when each bar falls. after the tank gets near empty refill it and divide total distance by total fuel in liters. now u have average of car like 14 km per litre. now calculate litres for each bar like if a bar disappeared at 70 km then this bar in ur car fuel translates to 70 divided by 14 equal 5 litres.
