While waiting for fender repairs to Funky's car, took these pics of a currrent project at Babar's. Clean reasonably rust free 1966 car. Its for sale. Nice light green/yellow colour (Asad, whats this shade called?)
Would be great addition to the 'gene pool' of the cars of the area. Its for sale. Babar wants to respray it red, so I am keen to find a buyer out there who is willing to keep it stock, its original colour. I think we have destroyed too many stock patina'ed cars by weird wacky metallic and two tone combos. The cars end up looking crap, so whats the point?

yes, wait till the air is drier, humidity can destroy a good spray job. i'm not fitting the rear bumper rubber due to humidity.

really getting tired of not being able to run my car in the rain,... i really have to find that damn leak!!

this was suggested by romano, it was directed to all the useless "foxy" banter to be more exact, and not the actual tech stuff. personally (as you all know) i think the bettle is an icon, but romano was under the impression that we should ALL keep our VW talk to this thread.

as far as the "clean up" was concerned, from tiem to time that happens on all major thread on PW, useless posts which bring nothing to the topic are deleted.

did u get hold of any bore kit?

i got a brand new Mahle 1600cc kit from the parts dealer, they are available here from time to time.

as long as the car is a 1300 or more you can swap it out to 1600 easily, but you WILL have to source heads.

so by using Mahle bolt on kit..ure getting a transition from 1600cc to 1776cc?
