The best person to guide you with parts in Karachi is Dr. Asad. He is a little busy nowadays but you can contact him through mail. But keep in mind, what Storm said is correct, good 1302 parts are very hard to come by.

Very clean (well, it was some yrs ago), 1302 going to pot at Talat's yard in the Blue Area. Any volunteers out there want to rescue it? It came in some yrs ago for a paint job and has been stranded there ever since. Yellow, low mileage, and as far as i was able to ascertain, one owner. RHD. Sorry, no pics. Next to Beverly Centre.

i think that with these cars it's never easy to tell. to give you an idea i went to the mechanic at 9am 2 days ago and returned home the following morning at 1am,.. and i only went to get the gearbox mounts changed!! my point is that so many other things came into play that i decided to change them as well. in all honesty only now have i started trusting my 1303, after changing almost every part in it. only thing left is trying to find a steering box, disc brakes and a windscreen.

however don't let me put you off VW ownership, the 1302 is a fine machine and if you cna find a good one, go for it, the parts can always be sourced from various places.

Hello all,

  Some news..... a 62 bug (not again!!) is at the local scrapyard on death row.


  I know little about it as I have not seen it yet. Some details I got are:


 Taxes paid.


 Never run on LPG or CNG just good ol' petrol.

Needs battery only to run

Front lights changed over to post 68 units

Rear lights changed to post 73.

Cleanish body

Original 5 lug solid wheels.

Dont know the demand as the scrapper said coem see and we will talk.......


This might be an excellent project bug though it would need a few bits to complete if one wants to retain the bone stock looks.

wasn't able to visit sayed Sb will go there on saturday Insha ALLAH, Avg on Petrol is much worst than i was expecting its abt 6,7..thinking abt LPG or CNG havent decide witch 1 to go for, wats ur suggestion . tomm car will be at Abdul Basit's place for bumpers and speedo meter he offred me for the repair of steering box, brake service wiring and other bits, dis bug have few probs but its fun :) and it got character

that 62 sounds nice but with the completion of the 1303 and the 182 coming along now i've got my hands full. however i'm always looking fora split window bus (pre67) and a karman ghia.

also very sorry abotu being late with the astray payment, please let me know where and when it would be ok to send it and i'll arrange for the cash to be delivered. i really appreciate all what you have been doing and don't want you to feel as if i left you hanging for all your efforts buddy.

pics will here soon my camera is not working dis pics is frm cell phone ... abt specs its 1200 1974 nothing special else than that engine # starting with AG and according to Doc its some thing u don't expect.. i think its die cast Aluminum engine made for VW after 1970's but i m not sure, experts like u and Doc will surly come up wid correct answer.
