thank u very much for the no.and the clear description of the workshop.Unfortunately i live in lahore and am a student soo i wont be allowed to ome to isb for the parts i need which is very sad as i feel im doing injustice to my poor beetle.furthermore i feel lahore lacks those specialist mechanics or those ppl who keep beetle parts-becaus ive asked many people and i seldom get a positive response to a reliable shop for vw parts in lahore-soo i guess i just have bad luck then!

aww well thats also very frustrating to know that most meets are in isb!i soo want to come to each and every one of them but since i live in lahore its very difficult plus i doubt my dad wolud allow me to do so even if i could come because travelling cities without a license or an id card is not very appealing!anyway thaanks for the info and umm i hope ur 182 gets done fast and runs smoothly InshAllah.

it was an excellent meet and some of the best beetles of islamabad were there. and a 2CV too and it had a very nice owner thumbs up for the 2CV uncle (Y)

please try and contact Fedd, he shared some pics recently of a VW workshop in LHR which seemed to be better than anything we have in ISB/RWP or even KHI... i have full faith in fahad (fedd) so if he says the place is good it means it IS good. he's also a Beetle owner and has alot fo hands on experience with these cars.

Thank you for your remarks, but I would request miy16 to stick to this forum and learn as much as he can from guys like you, Romano, Asad etc. Like I do. However being in the same city I'l try to help him out at my best.

I was wondering if anyone here has pdf versions of the various VW manuals and handbooks. I was searching around on the internet and there are tons of books that i would love to have. i did find the haynes manual though. if someone has these manuals and books i would appreciate of they can email me? or maybe i can get it copied if someone in karachi has the actual hardcopy of the book?

@miy16 most meets planned by the ISB VWCOP members are in ISB, we're planning ot get together in 3 weeks time (hopefully) and i'm going to try and get my 182 ready by then, but since khalids sister has just passed away i doubt he'll be working on our cars any time soon. @Miyaan1987 glad to have met you today buddy, sweet car and what a performer (Y) (now you need disc brakes). Now that you have my number do call whenever you need anything from my side. i'll keep you updated as to when and where we'l lbe meeting up next. @fadee stop drifting! @salman1230 remind me about the engine rubber for your car. @spidey & rozzz great to see you guys today and spend some time with you @romano what an anticlimax today. at least it wasn't our headache,... glad to see a respectable turnout from the VWCOP members. @all who came i'm taking bets as to how far she makes it before a wheels falls off etc....
