oh, it's that car. well i have to say that the price seems reasonable judging by the condition in the pics and from what you've told me. it should sell VERY fast as it is a great base car to start with for a VW entusiast who wants a super.

1303's in bad condition are the WORST VW's to restore, so this one should be very rewarding to own & drive as it is a very complete car

I see a knob or so below the rear screen on 1303s, is it a provision for a wiper?.

I haven't seen that bug personally. The previous bug of the same friend was sold around 250k. Per him this one is far better than the one before.
I have asked for more pictures of tnterior and engine bay. Let's see what it has got?

Btw, the basic ingredient of WD40 is kerosene oil.

I picked up a product locally which is supposed to go inside a fuel tank. Shall post a pic tomorrow. Have not used it yet so have no idea of the results.

I wish POR15 products were available in Pakistan.

@Asad WD 40 or "water displacement 40" was a result of a search for a rust preventive solvent and degreaser to protect missile parts. It was created in 1953. The "40" in the name denotes the 40th formulation that was found suitable for the purpose. NOW for the best part and an intresting bit of information...WD 40 is composed of ...not kerosene but ...FISH OIL!!!! Apply it to burns and the results are amazing... I read a whole list of uses for it but I remember just a few....oh and if you spray WD 40 on the bait, you can attract more fish...

nope, that is something INSIDE the car because in the next picture you can't see it.

A friend is selling his 1303S at a reasonable price. At the moment I have the following pictures. Will get more and post them here.

Car is Karachi registered and presently is in Sadiqabad.

Till 1946 the rims were 4.5x16, after that they were 5.0x16 till 1952. in 1952 the rim size went from 16s to 15s and stayed that way till the end.

On the post 52 wheels (15 inch) most people use some size variation between 155R15 and 165R15 which is as close to stock as you can get with modern tyres.

yup, but as in the case of my 68 beetle (which had 14 inch rims on it) you can also got for 195/65R14 tyres which are a little smaller than stock but fine for daily use.

on my 1303 i'm currently running 185/65R15 (front) and 195/65R15 (rear) on toyota rims (which are too wide and incorrect bolt pattern) so hopefully i'll be swapping them out soon and fitting my EMPIs. the correct rim for my car should have the following specs:

size: 15 inch (max)
width: 5.5inch (max)
offset (ET): 23-34
Bolt patttern (PCD): 4x130

the above spec is also fine for any post 68 beetle.

i might have to change my front tyres as well as 185 might be too wide for the front suspension once i fit the thinner rims. so i'll probably be going for the size i mentioned in my last reply (for the front only), rears will (hopefully) stay 195 as the taller/wider tyres will help grip and also improve my overall gearing.

that interior is VERY clean, you were right in saying that it was a well kept car. from the pics i have deduced that it is a early 73 to early 74 model.

how do i know? the glovebox knob told me
