hey all,

its time to take the vwcop to the next level! i'm sure most of us are already on facebook. we can all gather there and create photo albums and write stories / suggestions for newbies (like me :D). it will be easier to manage and post and will create larger waves across the net. it will also be much easier for everyone to manage.

i'm already going back to the original parts mechanically..she's in the shop these days.

as far as the body is concerned..i'm trying to resist my urge to take it apart as right now the paint / interior / body is in excellent condition.....maybe when it needs paint again, i'll revert back to the original...for now, parts like mirrors, side belt will be reverted.

what a beauty! and a prime example of a Beetle, which, while not stock, carries the imprint of the owner, and yet manages to retain its pure simplicity of line and originality. A very good example of how to present 'your personal' car, staying within the limitations of the parts scene here. Well done!

I've been after this beauty for years too. If you don't drive it on a regular basis, why not just sell the damn thing and let someone else enjoy it?

It appears to be a 58-59 model, I'd say. Simply wonderful.

If in the unlikely event it IS on the open market, would people please do me a favour here and post details of guide price and who to contact, so at least I stand a fair shot at ownership?

do note that at the rate these cars are disappearing from the scene your car is going to be ultra rare in about 3-5 years.
