Its a 1970 as far as my judgment works and originally was orange (as could be seen in a couple of pictures).

Working on it guys, lets see if I could cut a deal on this one as I was already looking for a rescuable THING. Will update you guys on the same if there is some positive assortment.

With Mexican things it's impossible to know the year without decoding the chassis number. There were many configurations. Big & small lights on the rear were of your choice, rear air intake pods were dependent on the environment on which they were to be used, RHD (182) & LHD (181) were made side by side,... The list goes on & on.

Either way, this particular 182 looks unmolested & well worth saving. I hope you get it, once you do, you'll forget about all other VWs. They are so versatile & fun to drive. Once I got mine on the road, I completely forgot about my 1303 (even though it's an amazing vehicle to drive too).

Everyone should drive/own a thing at least once!

Note the Vent Wing Latch Position and the Original Huff Ragtop Latch Handle. The Sunvisor and the mirror are correct for pre-60.

It should be 'Golde' handle to operate the rag top and I am not so sure if the mirror and sun visor are correct fr the year.

NOS Bosch distributor correct for 1955 1100cc 36hp and the used big size one is also correct for the oval..

Lovely!!! So it means if one goes looking for the goodies, they are still there to be found. You bought both distributors? If one is spare, I might want one

What repair kit box is that exactly? A carb rebuild kit I suppose?

I have 4 in total now, one came with 61 the other with Oval and now these two.. will surely have a spare one for your type 1 buddy
and yes one box is of the carb parts made by Solex..

The New number is RIP 3828, he demands 70 but I think he should let er go to a good new owner for 40 to 45. Tokens paid upto 2001!
