The Average Age of Aircooled VW Owners in Pakistan is "31yrs & 7months".

in my opinion this also means a lot of VWs will bite dust in coming years due to all those experiments that those under 30 years lads will do to the air cooled machines only coz it is perhaps the only soft buy they could afford for experimenting, those who bring down average life down to what you saw, or perhaps just my own opinion

Call me stubborn, but I for one, refuse to believe that there's only ONE split window bug in PK. Surely there's one rusting away or being driven in the dusty streets of deepest Punjab or some corner of Karachi?

Pitty the results of the registry can't be made public even if there were another one, and the owner withheld consent. Sort of defeats the purpose of a registry, IMHO. But let's see what happens.

Hi,

Guys, i need some urgent advise and help in the current delimma i am facing with the VW.

I had bought a 1600cc engine recently which was sent over to khalid sb's for a once over for any work that might be needed before we plug it into the car. Well, once khalid sb opened the engine everything was found to be in order except for the fact that the sleeve and pistons in the car were found to be for 1300cc which in actuality makes this engine a 1300cc SP.

As per my understanding and little knowledge regarding VW's, if i want to convert the engine back to a 1600cc i would be needing 1600cc sleeves and pistons... Please confirm if that is correct... if some one could also tell me the approx. cost for a 1600cc sleeve and pistons set then i would really really appreciate that...
