I love the way she handles. As a matter of fact the convertible has the smoothest engine but isn't as fast as Billo. Shazadi is by far the fastest.

yes the GT Beetle...the acceleration on that car is simply phenomenal

it has a GT transmission which is a freeway flier of sorts offered by VW for that model

I think folks are confusing Romano's bug with Shahzadi.......

Romano's bug is a 1970 Standard model with Freeway Flyer Transmission and a 1600cc dual port motor swapped for the original 1200cc setup the car came with. As far as I know, Romano has not nicknamed his bug.......

Shahzadi is a different VW altogether......belongs to Nasir Shiekh bhai.........an original GT spec bug with its unique mechanics from the VW factory......its pics have appeared a long time ago on these forums....

I have some stuff which I bought before but now need funds for some other stuff, hence the reason why I am selling them off. Details are as follows:

• NOS Brazilian engine oil drain plate (brand new, never used)

• OEM Hella headlight lenses, post '68 (pair, excellent condition). I think I bought them for too much money.

• NOS Effbe fuel pump repair kit (German, brand new and never used)

No they didn't. The car was repainted sometime in the late eightys just prior to it being offered for sale. It was a shade of yellow that still peeps in hard to reach areas. In the 25 years of ownership I have had it repainted three times...each time a brighter than before shade of white!

Here is one that I could readily find.. Taken at Khunjerab in 2003-4

Now that makes perfect sense ................. it would make more sense in Yellow but ...........
