if i were you, i would check for choked fuel filter and fual tap (under the tank) first than rsheushing into replacing pump & ignition coil. dont ask how do i know :-#

That is probably it.Choked fuel tap.I checked the fuel filter it had pieces of silicon inside(probably because they couldn't find the proper fuel gauge sender unit gasket).Will be removing the tank tomorrow.If that doesn't work fuel pump it is.

First time I have heard of a choked fuel filter that cleans itself after 30 minutes... but of course ..the experts would know.

its the pipe line actually coming from the fuel tank(Khalid sahab). Because of the pressure created by the fuel pump gunk is clogged in the pipe line.It eases down with some time

Hate to say it being one of the youngest member here but some one has to.

Please do not insult me. You don't expect me to be in a ring with ... I back up my comments with some experience while the person you are putting me in the ring with is a plagiarizer, a wanna-be VW expert who cannot come up with an original avatar and had to copy one from the net to call his own. You can blow some compressed air from the engine side so any debris can be pushed back into the tank. get the tank cleaned and maybe instal a filter up ahead beneath the fuel tank as a primary filter, followed by one where the fuel line exits the tunnel.

...and it does not have to be a filter that we use in VW's..try using a good generic fuel filter to act as a pre-filter and catch the rust or other contaminants that your tank may have already or were pumped in.

The engine is in...

New wheel cylinders all round, new German brake linings, new master cylinder..all new German flexible brake hoses and all new metal brake pipes. I don't care if the car runs but it better stop when I want it to.
