Btw VW industrial engines which are very very similar to the Beetle engine apart from a few small mods have been extremely popular. Maybe the rooftop one is an industrial.

Reason why psyborg asked about the GB engine was we had seen one in Karachi very recenlty. And would you believe it was mercilessly beaten to pulp, along with the LHD 65 it was powering and thrown in the scrap metal heap. This was in spite of best efforts to stop the carnage. Aaaaaaaaarrrrghhhh Im going to howl!!

yeh... kept it away during the rains, n then did not feel lyk testing it on the rough terrains of DHA (if u hav been 2 DHA in the past few weeks, u'll know what i m talking about)!!!

@All, my car's giving clutch problems. The clutch is not disengaging. I bought a new clutch cable today but the nearest VW mechanic is on holida, will be back by 20th. So the car isn't going anywhere for 2 weeks atleast. I yet have to try to tighten the cable adjustment and see if it works.
Talked to Syed of Syed Autos and he said its most probably the clutch bearings(huh?) or the pressure plate, but nothing serious.
