Sorry for uploading bit late but I think its not too late...
So starting Now....

Here Bugs are lining up for the rally outside the PAF Museum!!!

I agree, the turn out was amazaing. Keeping history in mind, I expected seriously low number of cars to turn up but then was pleasantly surprised to see all the colors that came running out to complete a VW rainbow.

However, what I have deduced after seeing most of the bugs is that karachiites dont like to keep their bugs BONE STOCK. With an exception of a few, rest of them all were modified in a way or the other. I still have to see a city's bugs that could match the STOCK level of Islamabad/RWP. It seems all the purists have concentrated in the twin cities

Having said that, KHI has come nice bugs that were never seen before this weekend.

Yes I agree with your views as last time was just couple of cars gathered at Safari Park just because of weekday & less time to spread the news.

You are absolutely right but just because here are people have less sence of keeping and maintaining these gems but hope you'll see some more cute Bugs next time with a good stock level but not as much good as compare to twin cities because the reason is the same.

Actually there were only one thing and suddenly disappeared so I had not been able to capture that... but will try to find in my friend's collection.

I believe the problem with karachiites is that the ideals are all wrong. Hence, both the chopped top bugs grabbed the most attention. There were 3 or 4 very beautiful early 60's bugs but sadly they didn't join us with the rally. Same goes for the split and the Thing.
Plus, there just wasnt enough time to inspect the other cars and talk to the owners while looking over your shoulder to make sure the crowd don't get naughty with your car. I was hoping that there be a lot of learning for everyone but it didnt quite happen.

All I see are post 67 bugs there in KHI with a couple of pre-67s. I wonder where did all the pre-67 bugs go from KHI as KHI was among the richest cities in terms of VWs (not to mention that first VW dealership/modern motors was setup in KHI).

Yes, I agree with you and appreciate your this kind of deep ovservation but can not put any idea about it..
May be next time we will be able to see some of those in our upcoming meet up, which will be more organize than the last one.

it appeared to be wonderful meet, congrats on arranging the meet, and must say you karachites have some very lovley bugs, i sugget you send em all over to isb, its humid in karachi kaheen kharb na ho jain

No issue is live opposite Clifton Beach and I use anti rush paint to protect the cars, a little extra effort is required to protect the bug.

i also have a few pics could not up load them as i was on a road trip to Islamabad, hope to upload them today by day end.
