VSS issue Civic 98

Some mistree had removed the connector both ends including the one mounted on the VSS and instead soldered the wires on the top of the VSS and then connected these 3 wires

It will cause issue again and again as water will corrode the pins again. The connector has a good seal against the water which in your case will not be there.
For proper working you should get a kabli connector and vss (if pins are destroyed because of soldering).

Yes you are right. Blue wire coming out of the distributor is broken.
But when i closed this connection using a multimeter on amp mode, no current was flowing and also the RPM didn't go up from zero. So it was not only this issue, there must be some other problem. Either the signal was not coming out of the distributor, or the wire from the distributor to the guage cluster was open.
I checked the voltage using multimeter and it showed me that current is flowing out from the distributor in that blue wire.
So next i checked for the continuity of the blue wire from the distributor till the guage cluster.
Its a long way so had to check it in parts from various connectors and it was ok.

When i reached till the guage cluster and removed it, i noticed that that particular blue wire was cut jsut short of the guage circuit board connector.
Manual main C8 main techometer ka signal ana tha and uski blue wire katti hui thi n us ki jaga koi aur wire jori hui thi kissi mistree nay.
I traced that wire and it went to the engine. I am showing you on picture where it is going its visible in the picture.

What is this thing in blue and why is this wire in orange coming into it?

Its not a guniune wire. Its connected by some mistree.

I don't understand what this mistree is trying to do. Secondly i don't think you can check tacho signal from distributor just buy using simple multimeter as it is not a straight dc voltage but more of a pwm type signal like waves (don't know much about it, you can search). Just connect blue wire to guage cluster correct pin and I think you will good to go

Yeah its working fine now. But had to take out the whole distributor and insulate the wires inside it as they were cracked and about to break.

Also i was wrong that wire coming into the top of the engine was from cng switch.
My next task is to remove all the cng wiring as cng kit was removed buy the previous owener.

What fuel average you are getting?

Yar just bought the car. On highway its ok (drove only once) gave me around 15 km/l.
In city with ac and lot of running while Stationery its average was very low. It ws around 5 km/l.
Any idea where to start trouble shooting?

Also just checked the fuel injectors electrical circuit. That wire which i was talking about was coming from cng to petrol shift switch inside the car to the fuel injectors wiring harness. Any idea what this is?
Cng kit is removed but wiring is still there nd i wnt to remove the wiring too.
