Well thank you very much for the idea. I am not too sure about 2.8 but yes I am thinking of putting in a 1.6 or 1.8 eng in it.

A little anecdote. One day my father and younger brother were chatting outside Bakewell in F10 markaz with the owner of the red XJ6. Just a nice chat between car enthusiasts. This gentleman comes around, and straight asks if the owner wants to sell the car. The owner was rather angry at this gentleman, he didn't say anything, but my brother told me later that you could see from his face that he didn't enjoy the question.

You don't buy a car like an XJ to sell off. It'll always go for a loss. It's a car to keep with you till you find another owner wants to take car of it and you are too busy / bored / out of pocket to keep it. Anyhow, I suppose "specialty" car owners always face these kinds of issues.

Yours is really a well kept car! (y) (y)
