I have 2.5 million budget and want to buy Honda 8th generation Car Civic reborn. need your suggestion Pros / Cons experiences.

I have a 2012 Prosmatec, chose it over 9th gen because of personal liking of 8th gen shape.

Excellent car in this budget, not fuel efficient but that's not my concern at least.

Bought, spent about 300K on disk pads, tyres, suspension & other necessary maintenance & it's been 3 years that it's driving great.

Try to buy a clean car (be it an year or two older model) with a recorded service history. This will ensure how much care has been done & no meter tempering has been done.

Reborn is well known for its comfort, drive & road stability.

Ijaz bro has rightly described the experience of owning a reborn and do the necessary maintenance required after buying it.

Usually we ignore suspension related repairs and that kind of ruins the ride experience.

Automatic will give you about ~8km/l and a manual one about ~10km/l in city drive. Motorway fuel consumption is around 15km/l.

If you can afford the fuel expenses, you will not find a better option in this budget that will give you this much comfort and fun driving experience.

In my opinion if you understand cars and have the heart to spend money on original parts and getting the cars work done properly then you should go towards reborn. No doubt it's a great car but if you have knowledge about cars and just don't blindly trust the mechanic then you can easily maintain one. Buy a car in good condition and upper model one that isn't mechanically or electrically messed up. Spending money in buying a good car and then spending a good amount on it's maintenence will end up with an great experience, as a ruined reborn could be a nightmare.

Only buy if u have time and money to spend on its maintainance used car will come with many problems i also bought an 2012 ug 55000 km orignal milage badly abused and hand it over to a workshop to restore it in proper condition they charged 200 k after that my self i spent 200 k more but the result was zero it was providing me 9 km/l hardly
Gear jerks were there
Powersteering conversion was done but it was a greater headache than hydraulic one
Ended up by selling it
Now driving 2024 city aspire cvt life going hell smooth
5000rs petrol returnig 280 km
In reborn 5000 petrol was returning 140-160 km max

If fuel is not your concern then its a wonderful car. A total pleasure to drive. But it has its problems which can be a bit of a headache if you do not take care of them. I bought mine exactly two years ago and have almost driven it 45k during this time period. Apart from the odd issue here and there (rear bearing gone bad + front bumper repaint due to collision with a motorcycle) its been just routine maintenance. Fuel average within city is max 10 km/L but usually hovers between 8-9. On highway it is around 14-15 (at 90-100 km/hr). My daily commute is around 75 kms on Lahore ring road and so I am happy with the consumption. But while buying I would suggest that you go for a 2010 or up model and consider the top of the line oriel prosmatec version. Go for a vehicle that has maintenance history available and is in stock or close to stock condition.
