Buy the new one, go to mechanic. Mechanic will hardly take PKR 1000/- for fitting/unfitting. But Kharadiya will take 2500~3000

Tips:
1. The original boots comes with new CV joints. however if it doesn't, then buy the original ones by yourself. Don't let the Kharadiya sell you his boots from his stock.
2. Buy one pack of Grease by yourself and ask Kharadiya to apply your given grease instead of his own. Usually new boots comes with Grease also. But if it does not, then buy your own.
3. To know which grease to apply, in the mechanical forum read thread "Grease" started by Xulfiqar.

You mean altering the axle rod? Making new grooves etc? That heavy machine which suspension people keep in their shops

no just replacing the joint on the rod and greasing and packing it

toyota cv joints have a trapped C clip which will break when the joint pops loose. That is why toyota dont sell the outer cv separately from the shaft.

make sure to get a new C clip for the joint and use the correct black moly grease on the outer joint (max 90 grams) - new joints have the grease sachet inside the box.

The inner trilobial joint takes wheel bearing grease.
