new road was build for only 20 KM rest 80 km was the worst took us 5 hours to reach from gilgit to hunza with 15 min namaz and petrol break. we traveled from 6 to 11 pm....

we took hotel in karimabad... rent was 1000 for 5 bed. clean hotel with all facility... garden loundge hotel fort chawk karimabad.. contact person sadruddin.03469748943. very nice friendly and caring person. he offered us a full kitchen if we want to cook anything on our own... yummy yummy apple and cherry trees were in backyard..... me in the last pic enjoying the fresh morning air...

water temp was above 90 Degree. normal we could not touch the water. if pics may be u can see the steam coming out from stones and water...

if you are traveling from Chilas onward to hunza you have to have band new tires to complete the trip. stones are bad they make tyre flat easily...

we came down from karimabad to ALi abad parked our car at one of our friend's shop.. and took jeep from there to atababad. jeep fair was 150 per head. if you wana take jeep on ur own with drive they will charge 2500 for one side...
