It can be defroster for back windscreen or wiper activator try turning it on and use the vipers i think its the sync button for fornt and back vipers.. else post a clear picture to see clearly...

Back screen defogger is located in the first picture of the very first post, Googling got me a picture of the front defogger without the the
"\ " sign, so im still confused.

rear windscreen wiper switch ..... just press the button and have a look at the back wiper

oh realy? no ur wrong, the wiper has it controls on the same assembly as for the front wipers.

Then what does the button between the temp control dial do? Its probably front screens defogger or something else.

its front windshield deicer/defroster. a small heating panel in front of driver.
if u find pls attached and mentioned ur vitz front windshield pic
its nt rear defroster, rear defroster push button located in center of cooling / heating knob

Voila, I guess ur right, first on reading i imagined the windscreen their arnt any lines on it as the rear screen but then i realized the black border has thoose (orange lines inside it) So this could be it, But the signs for front defogger on google are plain they dont have the () sign.

Here is a clear picture I have it in my RUSH and still haven't figured out what its for?

Its probably the front defogger but im still looking lol. ( their are thoose orange heater lines in the front windscreens borders.)

Yes... it is for vipers.. i have it in my car and it also has special vipers blades with heaters and covered with a layer of rubber...
