What engine oil do you use

well, i always take my cars to the 3S dealers for regular oil change and maintenance. So for the Honda they use "Genuine Honda oil". I figured since they make these cars, they might know whats best for the engine.
We also hav a cheverlot Spark. I dont exactly know what oil they (the 3S dealer) r using for it. But do recommend if there is something which suits it best. Also for 09 civic, is there anything better in the market than "Genuine Honda oil" .

Got the petromin oil today ultra 7 20W-50. It wasn't easily available but still found at the corner of Karachi. Purely satisfied with its results and quality and its value for money too.

2. are you satisfied that it is genuine Petromin and not a repackaged oil in a Petromin container.

3. How much did you pay for it? (it comes in a 4 liter container i think) as i need to buy ALOT of oil and cost DOES matter!

Where exactly is it on Shaheed-e-millat road? I'd love an address so I can go and buy it myself...unless there is home delivery service (here in Karachi even my meat and sabzi wala takes orders by phone delivers at home by bike (ultimate couch potato style)!!!
I've been cramped for time or I would've gotten the oil earlier like I told you in my earlier post.

If I'm buying from the distributor (I'm assuming that's what your firm is) I know its all genuine. Its those pesky retailers that I find very difficult to trust no matter how much they swear on their child's life.

PS: i hope the Pakwheels discount is not limited to Islamabad and Lahore.

We're located in Amber court (next to the flyover), and we are now the officially nominated wholesellers for petromin oils (nationwide now). I'm trying to see if I can get the oil price in KHI set to 290ish (no transport cost to ISB etc). as for home delivery,.. nothing as yet for small quantities (but if someone is buying a few cases I could arrange something) as i'll have to come to KHI myself with my entire ISB & RWP sales team to teach my KHI staff how to work in this field (they are all trained in the industrial oil & gas sector).

Hopefully by mid-next week I'll have full details about how it'll be setup and at what price so that PW members can go collect the oil from my office there.

I am using honda genuine oil (from total) fully synthetic. are you have any oil equal or better to it and what will be the price.

I wont recommend using Honda's fully synthetic oil because if I am not wrong, its rated at 5W-20 which is not suitable for our climate. If you want to go the synthetic route then go for Zic ZQ and if cost is not a problem then go for Mobil 1.

I use the following oils for my 93 Hyundai Excel:

For summer Season: Caltex Havoline 20W 50
For Winter Season: Caltex Havoline Formula 10W 30

For my 2009 Honda City:

Honda Motor Oil 10w 30 all year round.

Car is regularly mainatined by Honda 3S dealership. i.e. after every 5000 KM.

if cost is not an option then you can get a polyalkyleneglycol designed specifically for your car. it'll be the last oil you'll ever need....

to my knowledge, polyalkyleneglycol is hardly 5% in engine oils. Higher concentrations are harmful to engine.
I know ur comment was sarcastic. But if u seriously think higher concentration of polyalkyleneglycol could be better, then do suggest any oil available in market which has higher concentarion of polyalkyleneglycol. and offcourse more importantly Good for the car engine.

I use Addax XQ plus which came with the name of Gorilla XQ a while ago. It contains Polyolefin (PAO) and MOS2 which we generally call, moly. It is 20W50 and semisynthetic running perfectly in my Civic 99 VTi. So the people who want liquimoly kind of a formula at a lower rate, might like to go for it. Don't know much about oils yet my experience has been good as well as the person's who suggested me about it as he makes big electricity generators and they keep on running really good with this oil. It costs me around 1600 for and oil change including 3 1/2 litres of oil and both filters.

i use havoline deposit shield for for Suzuki mehran and chanhe it after 2400kms
but last time i use some other oil i cant remember its name but kuch power kar k naam tha and silver bottle thee which costs me 1200rs
