Much of Korangi road lies outside of Korangi :). Khan motors lies between Akhtar colony bus stop and Defence mor. Korangi road starts from FTC and passes through KPT interchange, to Korangi crossing via causeway and then all the way to Ibrahim Hyderi. Akhtar colony bus stop is Khyaban-e-Ittehad & Korangi road intersection, Defence mor bus stop is Sunset Boulevard & Korangi road intersection. Another point: Don't confuse Korangi road (FTC to KPT interchange) with Korangi expressway (Baloch colony-PAF-KPT interchange, also called Shaheed-e-Millat extension).
Genuine CAT oil is available with Allied Engg. I've not seen it in the car-parts market as the smallest packing is 20 liters. Maybe the construction machinery dealers at Al-Asif also import it independently or stock it? I'll find out if & where you can buy it in Islamabad. But one thing: it's a high-detergent oil. Just like using synthetic in an engine with 60k km on mineral oil is not advisable, using CAT oil on a well-used engine is not advisable. There have been cases where people did this and the engine did not last 50 km b/c the detergent washed all carbon deposits and result = zero compression. OTOH new engines running on CAT oil keep running strong.
I'll start a thread in the next few hours so the collective knowledge base expands.
@spectra and @imranbhatti and others who are against shell and for Delo, I'll share my experience here. When using shell, whenever I demanded power (high RPM) the engine oil started to burn. Not by blow-by in the combustion chamber, but in the sump itself. Though all of it didn't instantly change to muck, the smell was enough to make my throat go sore and the entire car also reeked of burnt engine oil. I was very embarrassed, going to meetings etc. smelling like burnt engine oil because the odour would live in my clothes. Then once I tried Caltex Delo Gold. The engine sound changed: slight whistle, along with a purr. And also, whenever a power demand was placed on the engine, the smell that came was just like Vitamin B complex. Now Vitamin B complex is no cologne, but I'd rather it over burnt oil. This phenomenon happened till 2000 km and then the Vitamin B complex smell also went. I was so happy. Delo Gold is indeed a good oil, and I'd recommend it for any diesel/petrol engine any day over any Shell oil. (Though I'd not recommend Caltex Havoline series which is good, but also more expensive).
